Chapter 58

Shocked at the sudden turn of events, Ariana decided to go after him for better explanation.

" Raymond, hold on" she called him, causing him to halt.

" What?" He asked arrogantly.

" What do you mean by you don't love me?" Ariana asked

" I don't get you. Is it now by force to love?" He sighed. " I really thought you'd at least have some self respect. From today going forward, we're just going to be partners in solving the case of the lunch thief. We have no other business" he said and made to leave.

" What are you saying? You can't be serious. Please don't do this, alright, I won't beg for your love just please don't stop being my friend" Ariana begged.

" I'll think about it" he said and left a heartbroken Ariana to her tears.

  Casey was walking by and saw Ariana crying.

" Ari? Why are you crying?" She asked.

" He doesn't love me back" she said and by into tears 

" Ha ha ha" Max laughed at her 

Ariana looked at him with disgust in her eyes 

" Look who got rejected" he winked at her 

She wiped her tears, " what are you doing here?" She asked.

" Incase you don't know, I study here and I've come to give you some information"

" What information could you possibly have for us" Casey asked.

" The principal has asked to see all final year students in the auditorium in an hour's time" he said.

" We've heard, now go away" Casey said, protecting her friend

" I'm going. Not cause you asked me to but cause I wanted to" he Said and left.

" So this is what rejection feels like" Ariana sobbed.

" It's alright Ariana, it's alright" Casey consoled her friend.

AN HOUR LATER......

" I wonder why Mr Shawn has called us to the auditorium" that was Casey.

" Maybe he has some important info for us" Ariana said.

" I know he as important info for us. All I wanna know is what the info could be" Casey said.

" Then let's go find out" Ariana said and they walked into the auditorium.

   After taking their seats in the auditorium, Ariana spotted Raymond and then she remembered how he'd rejected her. She couldn't help but feel sad. 

" Are you still thinking about Raymond?" Casey asked, after noticing her friend's sad mood .

" I can't help it" she replied. " I've never known what rejection feels like. I guess not all of our wishes are fulfilled" she gave a little smile.

" It'll be fine Ari" 

" Thanks for having my back" Ariana said and they embraced each other.

" Mmmmm mmmmm" the principal cleared his throat.

" The principal is here" Ariana said

" I'm sure you're all wondering why I called you here. I called you here to inform you that on the twenty sixth of August, which happens to be next Tuesday, all final year students will be going camping for a week and you all have to get prepared" he stated without wasting any time.

" Wow, camping. That sounds fun" Ariana said

" Yeah. I'll start getting prepared.

" Aside going camping, I'm glad to inform you all that soon you'll be graduating because you have all made enough credits and you only need a maximum of three to complete your credits and graduate. Ariana Wilson, Raymond Styles, Damian Lillard, Liliana quiner and Johnson matter, you only need one more credit and you're free to graduate. However, Ariana and Raymond Styles should have excess credits since they are working on the case of the lunch thief and that will be earning them 5 credits" 

Ariana looked at Raymond and wondered what he thought of everything. She sighed and looked at the principal.

" You're all free to go. Ariana Wilson, Raymond Styles, meet me in my office" he said and left.

The students began to leave the auditorium but Ariana stayed back so she could have a word with Raymond.

" Hi Ariana" that was Nicolas Maduro.

" Hi Nick" Ariana replied 

" Nick? That sounds cool. What's up? You look gloomy"

" Just personal issues. What's up with you?" She replied with a question.

" Well, I was thinking if we could hold a practice after closure today. Is it fine by you?" He asked

" Sure. I learnt we now have a theatre director. Is that true?" She asked.

" Yeah. This is really gonna be a hit you know" he said.

" Yeah. Are you going camping?" She asked.

" Of course, who isn't?" He smiled.

" A dweeb" she said and they both burst into laughter.

" Alright then, I'll see you around"

" Bye" she said and he left.

She saw Raymond standing at a corner so she approached him.

" Hi"

" Hi. What are you here for?" He asked arrogantly.

He sure had changed a lot. Why'd she have to confess to him? Now he'd gone back to being the arrogant guy he was. She cursed inwardly.

" Can I ask you something?" She said 

" Can that hold on? We have a meeting with the principal" he said, obviously trying to avoid her.

" Please, it's really urgent. I wanna get this outta my mind" she begged.

" Fine, I'm listening" he said, folding his hands against his chest.

" Why don't you love me?" She asked.

It seems like as the days go by, Ariana was getting desperate for Raymond's love.

He looked at her, " you're not my type"
