Chapter 10: Means To An END

The huge monster looked at them and made a loud roar. RAAAAAAAWWRR!!!

Upon that roaring, they all moved back a little while pointing their guns to it.

"What the fuck is that thing?!" Saito said while looking at the huge monster.

"It's a monster. Can't you see that with your two eyes." Tyler said.

The monster walks slowly to them but Yuki came forward while pointing his ray gun at it.

"Yuki! Get away from that thing." Michael said while approaching to him holding his gun.

"Captain?" Yuki surprisedly said while seeing Michael to the rescue.

Then Michael shot the monster, which landed its head but it didn't burst. Michael who saw that was shocked and the alien hit him and he was able dodged that and goes back the students and said, "You all need to evacuate. Let's us handle it."

No one left and this made Michael surprised and said, "Didn't you hear me I said evacuate and let us handle it."

"Sir we aren't going" Bethany said it out with courage and continues, "We can still fight!"

"Even though we are just teenagers, we are the only soldiers that can take down that monster in the city of eight million" Miki said.

"As soldiers and protectors of this country, we are ready to fight and can never give up" Winifred said.

"Yeah, she's right" Edna said while agreeing to that.

Michael was short of words right now, not sure what to say back to the children. So he puts his mind on that, protecting the children as they will also protect him in fighting that muscular alien.

"Alright, let's do this." Michael said while agreeing on that, reloading his gun.

This made the students happy as they were also ready. The monster looked at them with its face angry and now they ran to attack it. Other aliens ran as they also made their attack. They shots all of them while making way for Michael to aim the target as he shot it. The monster dodged that and gave him a punch, causing him to hit himself on the wall.

"Captain!" Yuki yelled while seeing that. He runs to save him but unfortunately aliens like about twenty blocked his way and also to for the rest of them who wanted to save him. Yuki who was in a serious face yelled by saying, "Get the fuck out of my way." Then he shoots all of their heads as they burst while bloods were coming out. But more still came and this made them to be full of shock. So all they have to do is to fight their way to save captain Michael, who was still on the ground in pain.

To the captain, he took his opportunity as he gets up and surprisedly, his eyes were suddenly stared at the alien monster's scary face, causing fear in him.

"You...look...very...tasty" The monster said and this made Michael to be full of shock. "What's that? Full of surprises." Michael couldn't say anything again while still surprise. After shooting those aliens that blocked their way, Yuki came and pointed his gun to the monster's head and said, "Get your hands off our captain!" But the monster was able to dodged that as he said, "You are the one that is going to save him? How beautiful."

He was a bit surprised to hear the monster, who understands human language. But didn't put that in mind, so he points the gun on his chest and shoots it. The monster also dodged that and surprisedly, he didn't see him in his front but was at his back. The monster turned back slowly and thought, "What how did he get at my back so fast."

Yuki then shot the head and after that, he was shocked to see the monster missed that bullet.

"How intelligent humans can be. Let's see if you can missed this one." The monster said as he raised his gigantic fist to attack and kill Yuki but before his fist reached the him, Jeremy came and pushed him away from the monster's attack, who ended up punching only the ground. Looking at them, the monster sees Jeremy, the boy that save Yuki was looking at him with a serious look on his face.

"Are you okay." Jeremy asked Yuki.

"Yeah." Yuki said while a smile was shown on his face.

The monster looked at them as he smiled and runs to attack them. Jeremy came close to him with a gun, pointed at him and then he shoots his left chest but unfortunately didn't dodged that.

"Eagle eye, you didn't go for the head?" Yuki asked who was confused seeing Jeremy missing a shot for the first time.

"I wasn't going for the head. Take a look." He replied and Yuki took a good look at the monster.

"If you take a good look at his chest, you will discover that he has five hearts. Although, his head may still be weak but shooting it will give him a chance to still remain alive. So if we take down the heart..." Jeremy said while Yuki continues to say this, "It's all over for him. His head may be the weak spot finished him off but the heart."

"You really think the way I imagine, Yuki." Jeremy said with a lot smile on his face.

Walter, who looked at them but his focus was on the monster with his critical eye was analyzing something in the monster's heart which is pounding differently but not at the same time. Walter was surprised as he said, "The heart are not beating at the same time. So if it's what I'm seeing here is different, that means he's not the only monster performing this action alone. He has more than five species of them in his body." He said while adjusting his glasses.

The monster felt that pain at his left shoulder and thought, "He already noticed my weak spot. He didn't even shoot my head. How quick-witted."

The monster didn't mind that as he lunged to the two of them, to throw a powerful punch but Jeremy protected himself by using his machine gun to block the blow that was coming straight to his face. But the machine gun, making Jeremy to be surprised and then punch him, making him to hit on the wall.

"Eagle eye!" Yuki yelled after seeing that.

"Done playing hero?" The monster said as he stared to the Yuki, who was terrified at him. Joey shut the head, making the monster to turned back while looking at him.

"Fuck!" Joey yelled while seeing that as it didn't affect him.

"Joey, shooting the head wouldn't work, but his chest would, so try that." Walter said.

"Right, let's do this guys as we take this shit to hell!" Joey said as the rest pointed their gun at him. Yuki saw them and had a thought, "guys..." While smiling.

"Who are you calling shit!" The monster said in anger as he was about to throw another punch to him and...

"Fire!" Joey yelled as they shot him. The monster blocked the approaching bullets to him protecting his chest in other not to shoot his heart.

To Yuki, who looked at Jeremy and said, "Are you okay."

"Yeah, it's just a scratch." He said while touching his tummy, seeing blood already stained on his uniform.

"We need to get you to the medic." Yuki said as Michael came in. "Captain, can you take Jeremy to the medic." Yuki said.

"What no. Why don't you do that, are you sure you and rest can handle it yourselves." Michael said as Yuki turned around to look at them, who were trying to best to shoot the alien's heart and some trying to get close to him.

"Sure we can." Yuki said before leaving Jeremy and Michael.

Back to the fight between the STARs students against the dangerous alien monster, we can see that the students were exhausted but they didn't give up as they still continuing to shoot him.

"Did Jeremy shot one of the beast's heart!" Miki said while still shooting him.

"Yeah. So that makes it four remaining. I hope we can do this?" Jim said while also shooting the monster.

"Sure we can. Cuz me I'm all fired up to burst the hell outta this shit." Moulton said with a devilish smile on his face while still shooting it.

"What has gotten into you, fatty?" Hilda said with a little confusion.

"Nothing has gotten into me. I'm just saying if we can do this as a success, we can be able to achieve it. Let's kick his ass!" Moulton said, making the rest to look at him and got motivated.

As they were shooting him, Yuki was able to run close to the monster, making the rest to be confused.

"Yuki, what the hell are you doing?!" Hilda said while calling his attention.

Yuki didn't listened to her but kept running until he makes a target for the chest where the heart was located. But the monster noticed that and dodged it while Yuki fired it. The monster ran towards him to give him a punch but Yuki dodged that and gave him a kick, making it to felt that pain. Then Yuki immediately shot the heart and that makes it three remaining.

The makes the rest of them to be surprised. "Yeah way a go, Yuki" Saito said.

"Yeah that makes it three remaining" Joey said.

Michael was short of words and also surprised to see that the students are doing well.

"Alright, now let's go!" Walter ordered.

"Yeah!" Everyone yelled.

They run towards the monster and then spilt themselves up. Tyler, Winifred and Edna were at his back and then shut him. The monster tried to defend himself by covering its face. But Moulton and Saito hold his left hand and Hilda and Bethany hold the right hand while Walter and Jim hold his two legs. Then Miki and Nadia ran towards him while seeing an opening and shot the hearts, making one to be left.

Now up to the protagonist to do the finishing, Yuki ran while making a shout and finally ended it with a shot on its last heart and fell on the ground as it didn't get up again to show that he is already dead.
