Training With Sir Veylin.

Mammon moved forward and did as told. After a while he found the orb that he was mostly attuned to, the orb fusing directly into his hand.

"So what next?" Mammon asked.

"Nothing! We are done for now, you can head to the barracks."

Mammon was happy that Astranor was not against his wishes of learning the ways of the blade. He quickly thanked Astranor and ran out of the library, heading to the barracks.

"Now which one did he fuse to?" Astranor said, getting up from his chair as he inspected the orbs.

"Interesting." He said stroking with his long beards.

Mammon walked in into the barracks and saw Elian sparring with Veylin as their wooden swords hit each other with immense force. He sat on the floor watching them.

'Monsters.' he thought.

After a while, they stopped.

"Phew, that was intense," Veylin said dropping his wooden sword.

"Yeah, and I'm done for today." Elian replied dropping to the floor.

Veylin noticed the kid and walked up to him.

"Ah, rookie good to see again." he said as one of the trainees and handed him a cup containing water.

"Nice to meet you again sir," Mammon replied standing up to him.

"Elian's pretty worn out, but I'm not, wanna join me?"

"Yes sir,"

"Okay, get ready I'll be back in a sec." he said walking out the barrack.

Elian stood up and walked up to Mammon and smiled.

"Guess you have another trainer."

"Yeah,"

"I'm pretty worn out, but he's not."

"Why is that so?"

"Well ever since he started learning something from a book the old man gave him, he had never time to come here at all. Now that he's back it's like he has come back to redo all the sparring he missed. Believe me, he won't hesitate at all, so be alert." He said walking away.

Mammon gulped, now he knew he had to give it his best or else. He didn't even want to think of what will happen if he let his guard down once.

He took a long sword and went to the middle of the court. He inspected the sword before thinking of slicing the air.

He did that a few times, sweat appearing on his forehead. It looked easy but it wasn't. All the other trainees looked at him like he was stupid, simply wasting his time and energy on nothing.

Veylin walked in, noticing the kid and smiled. He grabbed a wooden short sword and joined Mammon.

"Quit it already! This is the real challenge." He said pointing the sword at Mammon.

Mammon grinned. Of course he was afraid a little, but he wasn't going to back down either.

"You said I shouldn't judge you by your looks, so bring it on!" he said getting serious.

Everything was still and then boom, he was right at mammon, his sword approaching his face. Luckily, mammon reacted in time and jumped backwards, the sword gazing his face a little, as a little blood came out from the cut.

"Not bad for a rookie, but I don't plan on going easy on you either." Veylin said dashing forward at insane speed.

Mammon managed evade the incoming attack. He thanked his stars for adding two points to his agility. The day went on, with Mammon getting hit by Veylin from different angles.

At some point, Veylin withdrew inspecting his wooden sword, while Mammon stood, catching his breath.

"Interesting, but not enough. Let's make things spicy." Veylin said still raising the sword, inspecting it with his looks.

"If you manage to land a hit on me, I would give you a special gift, but if can't land a hit on me within the next thirty minutes…" He stopped, his gaze shifting from the sword as he looked at mammon with a cold gaze.

"I'd kill you!" He said lowly.

Mammon shivered. How could he be able to land a hit on him when the last two hours had been full of him going on the defensive.

His brain wracked but he couldn't even find a way to even it him, but he managed to speak up.

"Can you give me five?" He asked.

"Yes, but only five minutes like you said." Veylin said.

Mammon sat down right there thinking of possible scenarios that could happen. This went on for a while until he landed at a final scenario.

Mammon stood up and went to racks, grabbing a wooden short-sword. He went forward signaling to Veylin.

"I see, you are finally ready. What is this? Two swords, now that's interesting," Veylin said as he smiled.

Mammon on the under hand just grinned. He never planned on winning through force, instead he was going to use the available options he had.

Mammon instead of going on the defensive, dashed forward. He wasn't good at that using two swords for now but that was the only scenario that could guarantee him victory without getting severely hurt.

Veylin on the other side grinned like maniac. Finally, the young lad was going on the offensive but he was curious on what he wanted to pull off.

Mammon swung both hands at Veylin, who blocked the incoming attack with his sword. Mammon took his chance using Veylin's chest as a lifter, using it to perform a backflip, putting Veylin off balance.

He then threw his short sword immediately with all his strength at Veylin, aiming for his eyes.

Veylin who was off balance saw the incoming sword and twitched. He knew he had to block immediately as he redirected his vision at the sword, hoping to block it, his eyes managed to catch a blur as he smiled.

Mammon on the other hand, grinned inwardly. His plan had worked perfectly as he envisioned it. He knew that Veylin would shift his gaze to the incoming sword, giving him the split second to pull off an attack.
