WHAT JUST HAPPENED ...?

The last thing I remember before I passed out was Laura kissed me. Was I hallucinating? I tried to touch my lips. They were numb. I touched my face, and it felt like paper. I opened my eyes. "You fainted," Laura said. She looked at me like nothing happened. "Shall I bring you some water?" I nodded. My head hurt. I closed my eyes again and tried to remember what just happened. " Did you just kiss me?" I asked her. She nodded with guilt visible on her face. "I'm sorry". I said to her it's ok. She had something going on in her mind. I asked her what it was. "Nothing" is all she said. "Come on, you can talk to me." I insisted. She looked down at the floor. "You can tell me anything, you know," I said. "Nothing" she was lying. "Why did you kiss me?" I asked. She shut her eyes and took a deep breath. "Because I love you". "I love you too," I said. "It's not that kind of love" She started speaking. "What is it then?" I tried to sound as convincing as possible to make her as comfortable. " I can't explain, but it's not just some attraction. I want you to be my girlfriend" I was dumbstruck. I felt like my lips are glued together and I couldn't speak a word. "I was meaning to say this for the last 8 months. But I waited because I was afraid of what your reply would be. But today I lost my control and kissed you. I'm sorry if you are not OK with it" I forced my lips open, "Laura, I need some time to think, alright? And you don't have to be sorry, you said what you felt like and I can't criticise you. So why don't we sleep now and talk about this in the morning? I looked at the clock, "11:07 pm" We Slept.

I opened my eyes. Laura was sitting next to me. "Hey," I said. She smiled. "You are awake," I said. "Yes, I just woke up," She said. "What time is it?" I asked. "7:00 AM" she answered. I got off the bed to freshen up. I went to the bathroom and washed my face and brushed. As I came out, I heard Laura's mom calling us for Breakfast. Laura shouted, " Coming in 10 minutes mom" I checked my phone for any texts or calls. Andrew texted a usual 'GOOD MORNING' text. I called him and said him everything that happened the previous night. He too was shocked just like me. Andrew said, "I didn't expect it to happen so soon". " Wait, what? You knew this earlier? What the fuck andy!? Why didn't you say me if you knew it? " I whispered as I heard Laura coming out I said, " I will call you later, bye." She asked me whom I was talking to. I said it was Andrew and we went down for Breakfast. You see, Laura's mom is the best cook in the world, her dishes are always so delicious. I was looking at the table to see what's the breakfast. Cooked eggs, Fried pork sausages and Bacon. Wow, definitely a great breakfast for a Sunday. I sat on the chair and waited for Laura to begin. She did and then I started digging in. It was so damn delicious as usual. I was enjoying it so much that I didn't even notice that Laura was looking at me. Soon I finished my breakfast and cleaned the plate. Laura's mom looked at me and smiled. I smiled back. Just them my grandma called me. "Good Morning Sweetheart when are you coming home?" She asked. I said her that I was leaving in 5 minutes. I thanked Laura's mom for the breakfast and said to laura that I will call her once I reach home. She smiled and waved her hand, "BYE Sof". I smiled and closed the door. I hopped onto my bike and left for my home. I rushed and got there quickly. I opened the door and went inside. I went to my room and changed. I went to the kitchen and made a cup of coffee. Just then I saw my grandma, "Sophie!" She exclaimed. I hugged her and asked where my grandpa is, "He is in the backyard watering the plants" I ran to the yard and saw him there, I hugged him from behind and he chuckled, "Sophie! Darling. How are you ?" I said him that I was fine. He kissed me on my forehead and continued watering the plants. I finished the coffee and rushed to my room. I called Andrew first, "Motherfucker! Why didn't you say me if you knew Laura loves me?" He answered, "Dude! you were not like you in the last month. You were so sad and mourning. I thought it wouldn't be the right time for me to say. And I knew this matter on the day your dad passed away. She only told me then. "Hmm, I uh-" Just then I saw that Laura was calling me. " Can I call back after some time, Andy?". He said it's ok and disconnected the call. I picked up Laura's call. "Hi Laura. I just had some coffee. I met my grandpa.'' She spoke after 7 seconds of silence, "Have you thought about what I asked you yesterday?"

"About that, I'm still thinking. How about I call you in the afternoon to talk about this?"

"I hope I'm not making you uncomfortable. But I can't help it. I keep thinking about you".

"Oh, No you are not making me uncomfortable at all. It's fine. So, I will call you later. Take care, Laura. Bye"

"I'll be waiting for your call, Bye Sophie"

I started to think about this. What should I do now?
