It had been three years since that day, and William had managed to start walking early, to the amazement of his parents and also their many servants. The things he had learned about this world were that the year was somewhere around the early 1800s, and the geography of the earth was very similar to his previous world around that time period.
There were two big differences firstly there was a scarcity of humans in this world, apparently a catastrophic event happened hundreds of years ago bringing foreign fantasy races with it, this event was called the catechism, this also marked the spread of Mana and eventually mages throughout the world. The humans used to control the whole world but were now pushed back to a few kingdoms in the centre of Europa. Battles for the human kingdoms still waged on, thankfully a lot of the races were peaceful, like the elves, centaurs and dwarves They rarely fought against the humans after the initial wars,
William looked up and out his window revealing a beautiful cobblestone city spanning hundreds of meters, and pondered a melancholy thought 'This will all be mine one day, but I can't help but have this feeling deep down like I'm missing something, like a part of myself, System'

'God still 0/100 per cent on the develop a Mana core mission, I don't even know what a Mana core is, system what's a manna core' thought William, 'and abruptly the system responded back 'Level insufficient level 30 required'' dam I guess I'm just going to have to read some books.' judged William, and with that, he got off his bed and looked around the room, it had renaissance Esk architecture a big red carpet on the floor a maple desk in the corner, doors for clothes and such and then a massive white bed in the middle of the room and of course a balcony, so he could see what he would be the future ruler of.
William walked out of the room and into the marble hallway, the only difference in design was the plethora of unneeded pillars built into the walls. He continued down the hall, passing by many of the servants, all of them were dressed in maid or butler outfits. He got to the library, a room that was as vast as it was dusty when up for years and was wider than his bedroom with a massive ladder in the middle of the room to get books down from high shelves. William proceeded to look through the library trying to find the magic section' thank god this place was organised well' he thought as he walked past a sign saying books on Mana, he decided to pick the book that was called An Introduction to Mana, written by a sir Oswald of Albion, the system promptly relayed in Williams's brain 'Albion is the coastal empire of the elvish race' 'hmm interesting' William pondered as he began to flip the pages.
Mana flows through everything and anything, it has become increasingly clear to me that the elves have the most innate ability to harness its power in terms of magic casting, and the orcs the most talented in the use of 'raw Mana'
With humans not being naturally talented in any form of magic, to put it into perspective for every 100 elvish mages there are ten human ones.
'Well thankfully I have the system, or I would've been fucked in this new world' thought William as he flipped to the next page.
There are two paths of Mana manipulation you can go down in this world, you can form Mana cores and store Mana up to cast big battle-altering spells. The only downside to these mages is they have to meditate to build up Mana in their cores before they fight because their Mana doesn't regenerate instantly, their spells also take a longer time to cast than their raw Mana counterparts.
Now onto the second type, their names are Mana nights, and they learn to condition their body by opening up pathways through meditation to be able to absorb Mana from the air around them and use it to strengthen their bodies and weapons to fight against opponents, their disadvantages are that it's easier to become a Mana night than a mage and that means there's a lot more Mana nights than mages therefore during battle Mana nights are placed off the front lines as they are more dispensable, especially for races like the orcs,
Lastly, there have been people in the past who have managed to unlock a Mana core and become a Mana night at the same time, but historically they never mastered either and ended up becoming a burden on the truly powerful.
William finished reading the book, that was the most important information given 'Well I think I'm gonna try to master both since I've got this system and all. I gonna have to find a book on how I form a mana core now.' said William as he got up from leaning against the bookshelf to go and look for a book of mana cores, he found the beginners book on how to form a mana core.
You start meditating and trying to sense and feel the mana running through the air, You then youse a breathing technique to pull that mana towards your chest and once enough has gathered there you will have formed a manna core,
There are many stages to the mana core, here are the first 10:
Core tiers
Initiate's Veil Tier
Novice's Shroud Tier
Acolyte's Aegis Tier
Disciple's Aura Tier
Apprentice of Radiance Tier
Artisan of Luminescence Tier
Virtuoso of Brilliance Tier (1st Dawn)
Sage of Resplendence Tier (2nd Dawn)
Luminary of Incandescence Tier (3rd Dawn)
Grandmaster of Effulgence Tier (Black Dawn - 1st Crest)
He then proceeded to read out the provided black-grade mana core construction technique. it went from black to violet grade and the better the technique the easier it was to form and build on your manna core.
The technique provided showed lots of hand movements and breathing instructions.
The system came up with a prompt'would you like me to perfect the technique for the user' Yes, please! I didn't know the system could do this too, this shit is too op' After the system was done it gave him back the same technique with a few changes though it was now a purple grade, ' amazing' William literally shouted unknowingly immediately listening as to not alert anybody.
