A Terrifying Night in a Village Inn

During my college days, I had limited pocket money, and when I started dating my girlfriend in my sophomore year, we often opted for small village inns in suburban areas for a quiet place to spend the night. One night, after a tiring day out, we found ourselves in a village near Shaanxi Normal University. We decided to stay at a local inn, and while the room had basic amenities and decent hygiene, the lighting was dim due to old-style light bulbs.

Everything seemed normal until around midnight when I suddenly felt an icy hand grasp my right leg. I jolted awake, and in the faint light coming from outside, I saw my girlfriend sound asleep beside me. The hand gripping my right leg was coming from a dark, obscure direction, and I couldn't make out any details. I tried to sit up but found myself unable to move. I attempted to shout out, but no sound came from my lips. I could only move my head and see.

Just as I started to panic, the icy hand began to pull me under the bed. A rush of terror overcame me. I struggled to free myself from this inexplicable restraint but couldn't. At this terrifying moment, the hand pulling me grew stronger.

Suddenly, my girlfriend's thigh brushed against my left hand, and I managed to squeeze her. She woke up, pushed me, and asked what was wrong. Immediately, the mysterious grip on my body released. I switched on the light and realized that my lower body was hanging off the edge of the bed, with my right leg almost touching the ground.

Shaken and terrified, I didn't have the words to explain to my girlfriend. We hastily left the inn that night.
