Chapter 17: Taking Ah Yin

They passed the inspection normally and entered Notting city, Vaiss didn't walk around sightseeing but headed straight to Notting city branch Spirit Hall, he only had a week.

All the way, the pedestrian, especially the female, was fascinated by Vaiss's peerless face. Some bold ones invited Vaiss to a meal, but Vaiss turned them all down.

'Hey, I'm such a sinful boy.' Vaiss thought.

After 10 minutes, Vaiss and Ghost reached the Notting city branch Spirit Hall.

"Halt! State your identity and business!"

The two gatekeepers crossed their spear martial souls in front of Vaiss.

"Hello, uncles! I am Jacky, this is my uncle, John. We are searching for master Su Yuntao, I want to thank him for awakening my martial soul."

Vaiss smiled, he could easily enter if he showed his Spirit Hall badge but he wanted to lay low since he didn't know whether Tang Hao was observing this branch or not.

Looking at the cute Vaiss, the gatekeepers felt sweet and took back their martial soul. They didn't doubt what Vaiss said, many people came to thank their awakeners all over the Spirit Hall branches.

"Go on, master Su Yuntao is inside."

"Thank you, uncles."

There were not many people inside and most of them were the branch staff. The Tower of Light in the middle of the hall gave off a soft light that lit the hall.

Vaiss looked around, he wanted to ask someone where Su Yuntao was when a woman walked in front of him. He walked toward a young woman who had been staring at him.

"Hello, sister. Do you know where master Su Yuntao is?"

"H-hello, master Su Yuntao is there, at the front desk."

"Thank you, sister."

Vaiss left the blushing young woman and saw Su Yuntao burying his head while writing reports.

Finally meeting the Blind douluo, Vaiss couldn't help but feel his heart skip a beat. There was a sentence in the Douluo community, if the Blind douluo says that your martial soul is trash then you will definitely be a god!

"Hello, master Su Yuntao?"

"Yes?"

Su Yuntao looked up and was surprised by the handsome boy in front of him. Vaiss held Su Yuntao's hand and shook it excitedly.

"Master, I'm here to thank you for awakening me! Thanks to you I was able to become a spirit master!"

Su Yuntao was surprised but he looked down subconsciously.

Su Yuntao shut his mouth and smiled stiffly at Vaiss. What Vaiss showed Su Yuntao was the Pope's decree.

"I-it's nothing. It is my duty, you don't have to thank me."

"Still, I want to thank you and I'm here to renew my spirit master qualification."

'Please take me to the branch head.'

"O-oh, then let me take you to bishop Matthew."

"Thank you!"

The three left the front hall and headed to bishop Matthew's office. Su Yuntao knocked on the door.

"Sir, this is Su Yuntao. There is an urgent matter that needs your immediate attention."

"Enter."

The three went in, the office was quite wide but the decoration was simple with only a table, a chair, a sofa, and a few plants and paintings.

Bishop Matthew looked at Vaiss and Ghost, he was wondering who they were when the office was suddenly enclosed by spirit power. Bishop Matthew thought it was an attack and was about to counterattack.

"Ah, grandpa, please don't worry. That was just to prevent others from spying on us. You should recognize this token."

Vaiss showed the Pope's decree.

"That token… Dare to ask who is your excellency?"

"My name is Bibi Vaiss and behind me is Ghost douluo."

"!!!... Bishop Matthew greets the Holy Son!"

"Su Yuntao greets the Holy Son!"

Bishop Matthew and Su Yuntao kneeled toward Vaiss, they were shocked at why the Holy Son came to their small branch. 

This was the mysterious Holy Son, who only the staff at the Spirit City had seen, whose existence was kept confidential.

The two stood up but they dare not sit down with Vaiss.

At this, Vaiss was already used to, so he went straight to the point.

"Uncle, I need you to show me the location of Holy Spirit village. And grandpa, I need you to deliver a letter to all the Spirit Hall branches around Notting city and the Pope. I'll give you the letter later.

Remember to send it out very covertly, eyes are watching."

Su Yuntao took out a map and showed Vaiss where the Holy Spirit village was, and then Vaiss created a stack of letters with the same content and his autograph, except for one with different content and appearance, inside was an evacuation order.

After all, Vaiss couldn't predict what that madman Tang Hao would do when he found out his wife was taken away.

"Remember, evacuate as soon as we leave. Take the staff and their family, if there are any, and leave Notting city. Go hide for some time, because the branches might be attacked.

Ghost wanted to ask about the attacks but Vaiss told him telepathically that he would explain later.

Bishop Matthew and Su Yuntao moved quickly, and an agility spirit master was sent to take the letters to the nearest branch and let that branch send them out, so as not to draw attention.

Su Yuntao informed all the staff and began to arrange carriages. Vaiss and Ghost left the branch and hired a normal carriage to take them to the Holy Spirit village.

Ghost surrounded the inside of the carriage with spirit power again.

"Young master, the attacks you mention…"

"Grandpa, let's say that your wife was taken away by an organization, would you destroy the group branches?"

"Of course."

"Well, we are the organization and we are now heading to the Holy Spirit village to take Tang Hao's wife away."

Ghost looked at Vaiss strangely, wondering if Vaiss was sick and became dizzy or finally interested in a woman but his taste was a tad too heavy.

Vaiss knew what Ghost was thinking but as a pure child, he pretended not to know.

"Grandpa, do you know the Blue Silver Grass has a unique ability to transfer its vitality to other Blue Silver Grass?"

"When Blue Silver Grass transfers all its vitality to others and wilt, they will leave a seed and regrow. That's just how hardy they are.

This is something all the Blue Silver Grass can do.

This got me thinking, a soul beast's sacrifice is to transfer all its vitality and power to the spirit master to form a soul ring. Since that's the case, won't that mean that the Blue Silver Emperor is still alive?"

Ghost could hardly believe it, if they find her and nurture her a bit, wouldn't that be an easy 100,000 years soul ring and bone? While there may be Tang Hao guarding her, they could hide and wait for him to leave first before taking away the Blue Silver Emperor.

But then, he looked at Vaiss, he guessed that Vaiss took her away not for her soul ring and bone.

"Young Master, why do you want Tang Hao's wife and how did you know where it is?"

"I'm just curious about what happened back then and I feel sorry for her, being betrayed by her husband like that.

As for where she is, since Tang Hao and his son are here, then his wife won't be that far away."

Vaiss didn't lie, but he had other intentions. That was to break the relationship between the three members of the Tang family and prevent Tang San's Blue Silver Grass Emperor bloodline from awakening. Although it wouldn't change anything, it felt good to mess with that hypocrite.

Ghost believed Vaiss and was imagining what kind of face Tang Hao would make when he knew his wife was gone, Ghost sneered.

It took them half an hour to reach the village but the two went down before they entered the village, their target was not inside the village.

The two flew, Vaiss used his superior sight and mind scan to observe everything around him, searching for a waterfall. Ghost just followed behind him. Since the original story only said that Tang Hao hid Ah Yin inside a cave behind a waterfall.

This point made Vaiss think that Tang Hao was trying to kill Ah Yin indirectly, everybody knew that Blue Silver Grass needs sunlight to grow, if it weren't for Ah Yin being the Blue Silver Emperor and having the support of the whole Blue Silver clan, she might have died the second time and permanently this time.

After searching for an hour, Vaiss finally found a waterfall with a sealed cave behind it. He carefully scanned the surroundings and found no other people, he slowly made his way to the cave.

He floated and used his mind to move the stone sealing the entrance, Vaiss didn't want to leave any clues for Tang Hao. The inside was not completely dark thanks to the luminescence moss and cracks on the wall, the cave was not big and they soon reached the end of the cave.

There was a lone 100cm tall Blue Silver Grass with gold lines on its body, the grass swaying sluggishly, like a sick patient walking weakly. Some parts of it was yellow and wilted. Vaiss smiled, finally found it.

"Blue Silver Emperor, never thought I would see it again."

Ghost looked intently at Ah Yin but find that she was weak, her strength barely reached a thousand years.

Vaiss scanned the cave and found a box buried not far from Ah Yin, he dug it out and opened it, inside was the 100,000 years old right leg bone of the Blue Silver Emperor.

Ghost felt tempted by the soul bone but suppressed his desire, the attribute of the soul bone didn't match him, he rather waited until Vaiss's age limit rose to 100,000 years before creating a soul bone that matched him.

Vaiss stored it first, and he would return it to Ah Yin later.

He didn't want to waste much time, so he quickly transferred Ah Yin to a big plant pot he prepared. Strangely Ah Yin didn't fight back or do anything, she behaved like a normal plant.

'This… is it because she turned to seed, so she lost her memory or she has yet to wake up?'

Vaiss put it aside for later, he stored the pot inside a space ring that can store the living.

"Grandpa, let's go."

"Okay."

The two left the cave after restoring it and erasing any clue that might lead to them.

They came back to Notting city and stayed in a hotel. Back in his room, Vaiss took out Ah Yin after surrounding the room with his spirit power.

He looked at the swaying Ah Yin and carefully scanned her with his mind, comparing it to other Blue Silver Grass, there was nothing wrong with Ah Yin's body except being malnourished and weak.

But her consciousness was weak and faint, like in a coma. Vaiss was sure that Ah Yin had yet to wake up, maybe because of the long-term sunlight deprivation and poor soil.

Vaiss couldn't communicate with her in her current condition, so he thought that green energy might help her recover faster.

Vaiss injected green energy into Ah Yin and the effect was immediate, the previously yellow and wilted parts grew healthy, her colour became vibrant and became thicker. And most importantly, her consciousness was slowly waking up.

Finally, after two hours, Ah Yin recovered completely. But only her consciousness and body, it would take too long and too much to recover her 100,000 years old cultivation. She just recovered to 10,000 years old, which equal to high level soul king.
