Chapter 16: To Notting City

The RV galloped all the way, they took the normal road but took a straight road through the woods whenever possible. Since Vaiss only had a week, he wanted to save every last second.

Vaiss was sitting cross-legged on the bed, his eyes closed as he tried to comprehend the [Green Touch] technique, it was a technique with only one effect, which was to convert certain energy to unique energy used to speed up growth time or improve the quality of a plant.

This was something Vaiss would need when he arrived at Icefire Polarized Eyes, from the description of the original book, there should be a lot of herbs that have not grown to an immortal level. Vaiss grinned every time he saw his status, it was satisfying to see almost all the skills turned to lv1, and the growing points. Thanks to sparring with Ghost, his points increased like riding a rocket. Seeing the growing points, Vaiss felt his hard work was not in vain.

As for why he didn't use it to upgrade his skills, Vaiss wanted to save it and used it in an emergency, since he found out he could upgrade using empowerment from the soul ring. He intended to use the points to exchange for an item or knowledge like the previous Martial Artifact plan.

"Young master, why do you suddenly want to go to the Heaven Dou empire?"

Ghost suddenly asked. He was driving toward a small city called Notting, this was something Vaiss told him, their first destination.

"Well, you see, grandpa. I happened to see the report about the Tang Hao case and I found some inconsistency."

"What is it?"

As one of the participants in the attempt of capturing Tang Hao's soul beast wife, he indeed felt something was wrong about the operation but he didn't bother to dig deeper into it.

"First, the reason Spirit Hall knew Tang Hao's wife was a soul beast was because of an anonymous report.

This is weird because only a titled douluo would be able to see the true identity of a transformed soul beast.

This was Vaiss' guess after combining the report on Spirit Hall and the original story, whether it was true or not, he would find out later.

Ghost was a little surprised by Vaiss's guess, if it was true then Tang Hao was too cruel and cold-blooded.

Ghost was shocked and he became solemn, if this was true, this trip would be dangerous. 

"Young Master, why didn't you tell the pope and ask her to send another titled douluo as an escort? This is too dangerous! 

No, we must go back!"

Ghost reluctantly followed Vaiss out of the RV, Vaiss then stored the RV in his space ring.

"Grandpa, follow me!"

Vaiss shouted after he transformed into Ultraman Vaiss. 

Vaiss exploded his flying speed, he looked like he teleports tens of meters away due to how fast he was. Ghost was flabbergasted, it took him a few seconds before he was back to his senses and chased after Vaiss.

Ghost admitted that Vaiss's speed was outrageous, he was quite prideful about his speed but it took an effort for him to chase Vaiss.

On the other hand, Vaiss was enjoying the feeling of flying so fast, the air, the constantly changing scenery, and the feeling of freedom.

He looked at Ghost behind him and grinned. Slowing down his speed, Vaiss flew to Ghost's side and hugged him.

"Grandpa, use your spirit power to protect yourself."

"What? Why?"

Ghost was confused by the sudden hug and order.

"Just do it."

"Okay, okay."

Helpless, Ghost did as Vaiss said.

"Good, then keep it up, I'll take you to fly!"

"What? Wait…"

Boom!

With a sonic boom, Vaiss and Ghost rushed forward like rockets.

Vaiss was enjoying the feel of extreme speed and laughing all the way, while Ghost was screaming because of the sudden acceleration, if it wasn't for the spirit power protecting him, he would be heavily injured.

After 10 minutes, Vaiss slowed down and landed on the ground. Vaiss was having a great time but he was forced to land due to Ghost's condition.

Ghost threw his helmet away and vomited while leaning on a tree, his eyes spinning and he was dizzy, his whole body was trembling, Vaiss patted his back while healing him with holy light.

The effect was immediate, Ghost felt better, no longer dizzy and vomiting.

"Young master, I beg you, no more of that. I felt like a chunk of my life shaved off."

Ghost's already pale face was even whiter. He sat down while leaning on the tree.

Vaiss was smiling wryly, he never thought Ghost would be affected to this extent. 

'It seems that flying while carrying people is not possible yet, I shouldn't do it except for an emergency.'

Vaiss maintained his holy light on Ghost.

"Sorry, grandpa. I didn't think it would affect you this badly."

The two rested for an hour before Ghost was back to normal. Fortunately, they were already near Notting city.

"Grandpa, wait, wear this."

Vaiss took out a black and white mask and two-piece suit.

This was something he created, a battle two-piece suit, a white shirt and a black jacket and pants. It had a decent defense and a self-cleaning rune, so it would never be dirty.

The mask had a hidden rune that camouflaged the user's aura and level, it also distorted the user's presence, and as long as the user didn't do anything too eye-catching, they would be ignored by the surrounding.

Since they might meet Tang Hao, Vaiss prepared this, after all, Tang Hao knew Ghost. And Ghost's appearance was just too recognizable.
