Run

Both my grandparents talk about their terrible encounters with people and it especially happened around the late 60s and early 70s. Now my grandma has a lot of stories of her childhood, but only the freaky ones stick out.

My great grandparents were poor and would move around the town a lot, but this time they lived in neighborhood. The neighborhood also had a mom and pop convenience store. It was summer time and my grandma who was 13 would hangout with her cousin "Sarah". Now they were best friends at this time and Sarah would eventually be one of my grandmas bridesmaids.

They were walking around the neighborhood when they notice this group of guys, about 3 of them started following them. My grandma was also always super vigilant , so she noticed them right away and they freaked her out.

They were walking like 6 feet behind them. My grandma was freaked out but kept calm while her cousin didn't have any idea of anything and all of a sudden a van pulls up and he asks my grandma and her cousin who are both still walking if they wanted a ride. My grandma immediately says no and looks behind her as the van guy says " but me and my buddies can give you a ride, it's not a problem." My grandma at that moment knew those 3 guys were the van guys friends and she immediately books it yelling

" RUN SARAH RUN!!"

My grandma said her cousin never caught on to anything until my grandma told her to run and luckily she was smart enough to run.

So like I said earlier their was a mom and pop convenience store in that neighborhood and luckily for my grandma she knew it was right around the corner and the owners were family friends to my great grandparents. My grandma had the owner call her mom to pick her and Sarah up after their weird encounter with those dudes.

Van guy could of been just picking his buddies up at that spot and saw my grandma and her cousin and offered a ride or it could of been something else, luckily we don't know.
