Chapter 30

The sound of swords clashing was echoing from the training aera as Elden and Winter were sparring.

" You're getting better Winter. " Elden said as he parried against Winters raiper.

" Thanks Elden. " Winter said as she jumped back avoiding a slash from Elden.

" I think it's best if we stop now. " Elden said.

" Okay. " Winter replied as she sheathed her raiper.

" Well with that said I think some lunch will do us some good. What do want? "

" I'll let you decide. "

" Okay then. So what's on your mind? " Elden asked as they reached the kitchen after Ledne teleported them.

" Just thinking about what happened a few days ago. " Winter said. Elden hummed as Winter continued.

" What will we do though? Are we going to get rid of the other royals one by one or.. ? "

" Nope we will remove them in one go. "

" But how though. "

" By revealing all the shit they pulled in the kingdom. "

" What the king and the other 3 captain's? "

" Hmm well the king I don't know yet. As for the captains we have to worry about Lance and Drake only. "

" Ehh?? Why not Joker? " Winter asked.

" He already agreed. " Said another voice. Recognising the voice Winter turned to her left as she saw Fox walk towards them.

" Really? When did that happen? " Winter asked curious.

" Apparently it happened right after the meeting. However Elden didn't tell us as we found out when Joker showed up here claiming that he was part of the group. " Fox said as she stared at Elden.

" In my defence I was extremely busy. " Elden said in a hurry.

" Doing what? " Fox asked with a raised eyebrow as Winter leaned in while tucking her hair behind her ear.

" Making a book. " Elden said with a poker face that had no shame on it.

" That doesn't seem to bad. " Winter said.

" It was one with pictures and it showed over the top reactions of people eating food. The woman basically had an orgasm. " Fox said with a few tick marks.

Winter just stared at Elden with disgusted look on her face.

" Hey I'll have you know that many people will like it. Woman included. " Elden said.

"Evidence first then we will stop. " Winter and Fox said.

" Tch. " Elden said.

" Anyway how did that meeting happen? " Winter asked.

" Oh that. Simple really. " Elden said.

* Flashback *

" Let me join your coup. " Joker said as he looked at Elden with a grin stretched into his face.

Elden looked at Joker with a blank face as inside his brain was working into overdrive.

' How did he know about that?!! More importantly however why does he want to join?! '

" Why though? " Elden asked. Joker looked at Elden with a serious face unlike before.

" Simple. I'm bored. " He said.Elden poker face fell as confusion took over.

" You see the concept of going to war with the clover kingdom is boring honestly. " Joker said. Elden raised an eyebrow at this.

" In the beginning it was fun. I could do whatever I wanted to enemies on my mission as long as the job was done.

I used my illusions to put them in situations but.... " Joker stated as his face changed from a happy expression as he thought about the past to a sad one.

" You can predict everyone reactions and how they would move and feel. " Elden said.

" Exactly! " Joker said with joyful expression.

" When I became captain it became worse as I couldn't even do many missions. I was bored till you showed up. " Joker said as he pointed at Elden.

" Everytime I saw you in those meetings, I tried to guess what you would've done but each time you surprised by doing something completely different.

So I looked into everything I know about you and linked you with same things to see what you were up to.

However I couldn't find any solid evidence at all. I just had a gut feeling... "

" Till I proved it when I said ' Why though? ' " Elden said.

" Yep. But I know you have something in mind. I doubt you would show your hand if you didn't want something. "

" Not really. You joining was honestly something I wanted to happen. As for your statement about joining, i saw no lies about it so I decided to directly ask. " Elden said.

" Ehh?? So in that moment you didn't think at all or plan ahead? "

" Nope. Just trusted my gut. "

" Hahaha... " Joker started laughing before stopping.

" Once again Elden you relieve me of my boredom. "

" If it's boredom you have trouble why don't you have fights with the other captain's? "

" They are busy. That and the fact we couldn't find the best place to fight as we would probably destroy everything around us. "

" I see. Light spars didn't make the cut. "

" Yep. "

" Well then why not right a book after the coup? "

" Hmm that sounds fun. I'm interested but that can wait. "

" True. I'll right my own book. Some are mysteries so you can try to guess what happens next. "

" Hmm that would nice. Lets see how that goes. "

" Great. The next meeting is in 4 days at my squads headquarters. "

" Okay see you then. "

* Flashback end *

" Huh so that's why I heard yelling from that room and you ending up with your face battered and bruised. " Winter said.

" Yep. " Elden said.

" Okay then who's next? " Winter asked. Fox looked at Elden.

" Lance. "
