Devil's Little Guardian

"So, are you ready to obey my orders?" His deep ocean voice fanned against her slightly twitched earlobe. "Y-yes, master." "Break a rule, you will be facing the same punishment as that douche." He smirked pointing at the cell which was completely dark and covered with magical dusts. Kristen choked out hearing the painful cries from the cell. That man had been suffering the same pain since the past two hundred years. He will suffer until some one replaces her master, the Devil himself.

THE SKY

"Kristen, it is fine. You are not supposed to be scared of a mere thunder."

"Shut up. I am not scared." She gathered all her will to sound bold enough but her hands were telling the opposite.

"My shirt is almost getting ripped so stop pretending. I am right here and nothing will happen to you." He tried to comfort her as his hands drew circles on her back.

It did take some time for the climate to get back to normal but something had changed and they could easily tell it from the smell in the air. The pleasant smell of Promythe had disappeared and the dense unknown smell devoured the heaven. Kristen slowly detached herself from the boy and sat up, staring at the window. Gabriel, adjusted his crumbled silk shirt as the top two buttons were undone, all thanks to his lovely fiancée.

"Does the sky look normal?" She asked while getting up, taking hazy steps to the balcony.

"I don't know, but it looks dark?" He asked confused, trying to slip through the sheets to her side.

"This is not looking good. I knew something like this was about to happen. Everything was going so smooth since some time so this had to happen." She gritted her teeth knowing the reason behind this.

"What do you mean? What were you trying to tell before?"

"It is him." She looked behind to the boy as her eyes glowed like sun making him stumble.

She nodded to make it clear for the boy who was too stunned to even speak. He held on to the side of the bed table as his back crashed to the wall and slowly his memories flooded back to old days. He never wanted those days back until the last incident with him, with his one and only younger brother. Gabriel was always in favor of his little brother but that only invited trouble for him as well as his family but it started bothering him after his people were pulled into the mess.

The innocent souls and angels were also suffering the wrath of his immature brother who was just messing around for his own fun. Gabriel tried to convince his brother about his wrong doings but it ended in a war that his brother was banished from heaven forever. Honestly, it was not Gabriel's fault but he blamed himself for the break in his family but his brother used to come back once in a while to show his hatred towards his family.

"Are you ok?" Kristen asked seeing a tear drop fighting its way down through his pink tinted cheeks.

"He wouldn't spoil my wedding, right? I am his brother, na?" He asked hopefully.

"I don't know but as far as I have heard about him, he definitely sounds like a person who wouldn't bother about his family."

"He is not that cruel."

"Why are you defending him after all this? I have nothing to do with him neither do I owe him anything and this is my wedding too. If he messes this up, I am publicly going against him." She declared staring back at the grey sky.

"What is happening?" Linda asked her maid noticing the sudden change.

"I have no proper clue about this, Goddess but every one is saying that the Prince is acting up again." She answered while staring at at the marble floor.

"N-no, it ca-can't be. He will not do this for his brother's wedding. We are a family and I trust him with this." She said even though the words held no surety.

"That is the common talk outside. Everyone is scared and locked their selves in their houses." She continued.

"I will take over till the Lord comes back." Linda got up as the maids and guards escorted her to the assembly room.

She was welcomed by the council and everyone was waiting to inform her about the unpleasant situation while one boy was by the side who worked on something. Her eyes softened watching his glowing figure, he definitely belonged to the angels but unfortunately he is just a high class soul who is working under the angel's council. He was not supposed to be dead in such an young age but guess what the prince had another plans.

"Eric, what are you doing?" She asked, slowly walking to the boy as he sprung up and kneeled in front of her.

He was always polite, very well mannered and soft spoken but his vision and positivity was well spread all over the heaven. Everyone craved for a son like him, some one like him to rely on and that is how he ended up in the God's mansion to serve the council and he was more than happy with the offer. Linda had a soft spot for the boy so she insisted in getting a final opinion from him on everything which triggered some of the arch angels.

"G-Goddess, I was just monitoring the other seals to secure them." He answered while getting up as she had given him the signal.

"How is it going? Could you trace him near any seals?" She asked enthusiastically.

"He wouldn't show up on his own, he never did that Goddess but I am sure it is him. He would never let the heaven have any good memories." His eyes darkened and fist tightened talking about the man who was the reason for his death.

"Eric, I know you have reasons to hate him and it is valid too but please be fair." She requested still trying to find a way to defend her son.

"I am not taking out my personal revenge in this. Heaven is my home and I am just trying to protect my home against everything." He rolled his eyes knowing where the conversation was going.

"The sky is still dark?" She asked the maids.

"Rain clouds and I don't think it would clear any time soon. It is getting worse and I can sense that the sky is very heavy by now. You can expect heavy downpour as well as thunder storms." Eric warned as he continued his work.
