Just as I was about to get up, a man stood in front of me. He was basically towering over our table and peeking into my bag. I am never going to understand human beings any time soon, they all are weird. Is it a normal thing to peek into someone's property? Cristian was in the washroom at that time so I didn't want to make a mess and get him involved.
"Excuse me?" I asked, looking at his face.
Okay, he looks incredibly handsome and notoriously attractive and I remembered my Gabriel suddenly.
I have never thought anyone could ever come ten meters close to him based on looks but I was never this wrong. He had beautiful hazel eyes and brown hair locks which were combed to the side, a honey skin to enhance his aura. He definitely should be belonging in heaven, no one can debate that. I shook my head a few times when I realized that my thoughts are running wild as usual. How could I even think of another man like that?
"Hello, Miss." He said with a smirk. What's with that smirk? I thought.
"What are you trying to do?" I asked, keeping my eyes on him while pulling my bag, closer to my body.
"Are you perhaps new here? I have never seen a pretty lady like you before." He spoke politely but that was not it, a sly smile on his lips.
"Is there anything that you need from me? If not, then please excuse me." I got up, as soon as I saw Cristian come out of the washroom.
"See you around, Miss." The man called out from behind and I almost gritted my teeth at his behavior. How bold?
"Who is that?" The smiling fluff boy asked.
"No one, let's go now." I glared at the man before exiting the café.
.
.
.
"Now what do you expect me to do? Bring back the half-torn fabric of your damn shirt?" Selene asked, grabbing her hair in frustration.
"I want to teach her a lesson and moreover the attitude she possesses. My father really took his time to create such headaches, and he blames me saying I am the disappointment. I bet I would be the best of his creations till now." He complained while drinking the whiskey like it was just juice.
"Done?"
"No! The way she still keeps that piece of cloth. Is she going to sell it or something? The audacity to talk to me with that attitude while she should be falling on her feet for my apology."
"You bumped into her, right?"
"More like she did because I was walking out of a room. She had her eyes in the sky." He slammed the glass on the table, a few drops of drink spilling out in the impact.
"You really sound silly. Earth is a stupid place to be in, I suppose." Selene rolled her eyes, watching the man continue with his complaints.
"I will get her in my hands and then crush her to fine dust."
After a few minutes, the man was kind of drunk and wasted still managing to chug down the brown liquid but this time directly from the bottle. Selene was keeping her eyes on him, watching how vulnerable he was getting which was a rare sight for her. In hell, she had never paid this much attention to him because they were basically too busy to keep personal matters in consideration. Maybe this was the reason, he comes to earth once in a while, to be around people who share the same emotions.
"Where did I lose? I thought we were the same." Selene mumbled while helping him to the bed.
"Na-naomi, s-she is nice but I w-will end up hurting her." He stuttered as she laid him on the bed.
"How much did she do to get into your heart? Can't you pay attention to me at least once?" Her eyes were flooding with tears by then, blame it on the alcohol.
He moved to the side and curled up in the bed, clutching onto the pillow like a baby. He looked no different than an innocent angel at that time but the sins he committed to take revenge against his father can never be forgotten. He was literally toying with each angel, never once considering that they had nothing to do with his banishment. He just hated the whole species and their idea of following God blindly never made sense to him.
The only thing he did wrong was to bring out his thoughts and question his father when the situation was unclear. How can a father banish his own son for such a thing? Was his father not supposed to guide him and make him understand things for the better? He always believed that his presence was a bother to God and the angels in heaven which he considered his home. Gabriel always had attention, people showered him with praises, already making him the successor for some reason. No one believed in Lucifer and kept joking that he was immature.
Gabriel was good at stealing others' credit and whenever they went for training with the Arch Angel, the older brother played his little one. Lucifer kept his calm because he knew Gabriel can never do as good as him even if he tries so just played along for maintaining his goodwill. He thought if these kinds of acts make his brother happy and satisfied, then he should allow it. Lucifer loved his brother intensely so when things went wrong, he hoped Gabriel to stand for him.
"Gabriel, won't you stay by me?'
The only thing Lucifer muttered when his father planned to banish him from heaven was that. It was betrayal, he couldn't comprehend the fact that no one stood for him except for the few tears shed by his mother. He despised everyone from that day, his thought was focused on crushing them, taking revenge, and bringing hell above heaven. He wanted to show that he was a better ruler than his father, Gabriel, and all the angels.
He was just as simple as any other person but the anger blinded him.
