"It's interesting," Lucas mumbled with an amused smile. "It seems like they won't give up."
He glanced at the wealthy people beside him, giving the adventurers mocking eyes.
"I wonder what awaits them."
"If it will implicate us, what will you do, husband?" Lilith asked her husband.
"Unlike earlier or in this place, we can't kill however we want inside the city." Lucas's lips curved upward. "But it does not mean we can't do it in a sneaky manner."
"I know what you mean," nodded Lilith, and then smiled mischievously. "But if we are in the Empire, do you have the courage to do so?"
Lucas giggled for a while and replied, "If they offend you, then yes."
"Wha-" Lilith's eyes widened, and her cheeks reddened.
She was taken aback, and her burning cheeks soon followed.
Thankfully, her face was concealed, so she did not have the desire to burrow her head and hide her face.
Lucas guffawed and was satisfied.
