Ch 11

Sam, after leaving the room where the hippo's partner was being tortured, saw Aishwarya, who was busy consoling a crying and sulking Nitin, sprawled on the sofa.

After Aishwarya entered the house, Nitin couldn't hold back his tears when he saw her bruise. Aishwarya was planning to run off to her room as soon as she entered the house, but Nitin's sobs left her with no choice.

" Nitin, Look here; I am perfectly alright. So, stop worrying about my bruise, young man. Okay? "

Aishwarya showed him her stomach and tapped her bruise lightly to assure him that she was fine, but this decision backfired as the sharp and acute pain made her frown subtly. But Nitin was scrutinizing her facial expression intently and noticed her frowning subtly, instantly.

Taking a deep breath to appease himself, he asked, "Promise me that you won't take a risk like this again." He raised his pinky finger, demanding a pinky promise.

Aishwarya, seeing his extended pinky finger, sighed in exasperation and clasped his pinky begrudgingly while blushing slightly in embarrassment. "Happy now." Aishwarya huffed in embarrassment, and taking advantage of their lack of attention, she bolted to her room.

Nitin's behavior changed after seeing Aishwarya leave, and he expressionlessly wiped his tears off and asked Sam, who was making faces at him for being a crybaby, "So, who sent him?"

"I don't know. He hasn't said anything yet." Sam emphasized 'yet' firmly, as he was confident in opening anybody's mouth as soon as he got serious.

"Let me see him then." Nitin opened the door to see Hippo's partner's upper body chained to the wall.

"You are not a torture expert, but you can take out your anger on him." Sam noticed Nitin's fists trembling in anger as soon as he saw the guy. He could understand his reaction, as among them, if you don't count Kunal, Nitin was the one who loved Aishwarya the most. His love bordered on obsession after he lost the nun who raised him.

While reminiscing about past events, Sam left his friend alone, looking for food to calm down the elephants in his stomach.

"What's your name, Mate?" The first thing Nitin noticed was the pierced palms of his guest nailed to the wall. His battered body, bleeding leg, and busted lips filled him with little satisfaction. After all, he was one of the bastards that dared to hurt Aishwarya.

His guest (Hippo's partner) slightly raised his head and answered shortly, "Karan."

"So, were you the one who kicked her?" Nitin asked, his calm expression slowly twisting in extreme anger. Karan was surprised by this sudden inquiry, looked up, and saw Nitin's twisted expression. Unsure about his immediate future, Karan froze as he felt that accepting right now would result in extreme torture, but he thought that even if he opted to stay silent, his torture would not lessen.

While Karan was wavering in selecting his choices, Nitin grabbed the axe next to him and started to caress its handle slowly and lovingly.

Karan, seeing his interrogator grab the axe handle, quickly denied all allegations and pinned the blame on his dead partner, Hippo, as the dead can't speak. Meanwhile, he prayed that the old hag wouldn't expose his lie.

But unfortunately for Karan, his prayers fell on deaf ears, or we could say that Nitin, in his crazed state, didn't want an answer anyway. All he needed was a source to vent his pent-up anger.

So, Nitin disregarded Karan's answer and stuffed a piece of clothing in his mouth, ignoring his guest's desperately floundering body as he played a game of'Akkar Bakkar Bambe Bo, a children's game to choose which leg to cut.

He bound Karan's left leg tightly and smiled as he hefted the axe on his shoulders and severed it from his knees down by hacking at it continuously. He was capable of severing the leg in a single swing effortlessly, but he didn't do that because this would reduce the pain. Nitin smiled contently as his guest spasmed around in agony, thinking that continuously hacking at the bone to increase the pain worked wonderfully as his guest started foaming from the mouth.

" Creak." The door opened, and Sam, who had entered the room to sell Nitin out, froze, feeling appalled at the gory sight he had just seen.

"Have you lost your mind?" Sam sighed as he checked Karan's pulse calmly. He did a quick first-aid to stop the bleeding as a temporary measure, all the while glaring daggers at Nitin.

Nitin, now devoid of anger, smiled and scratched his head sheepishly at his friend's constant glares. "Well, I didn't cut his femur, so he won't die. At least, not in a few seconds." Nitin murmured the last part to himself, feeling sure that Sam would make him taste hell if he heard his irresponsible remarks. And he was right, though; if not for their neighbors making a scene, his situation would be starkly different.

"Go, reassure the agitated neighbors, and I have already handled the police. So try to make sure that they won't disturb the officers and the guards won't be coming tomorrow; I have fired them already." Sam finished his ranting and placed Karan on a stretcher, transporting him to the hospital sneakily.

********************

While Sam was clearing Nitin's mess and feeling angry about it, Kunal was dying from happiness as his love Sophie was enjoying his company at the sports event. Although Kunal was indeed forgetting that she knew only him and that this was her first time at an eSports event,

While Kunal was grinning so much that his mouth might split open, fortunately, it didn't transform into horror. The same can't be said for the hidden inspector.

Angry shouts and cusses were being exchanged between the judge and the winning team's coach on the stage.

The shouts had grown in intensity so much that the fans and the staff had no choice but to disturb Kunal, who was on the verge of fainting seeing Sophie enjoy sports, his livelihood. After all, he was their legendary thug player whose ferocity can't be surpassed.

Kunal pouted as he climbed the stage and tapped the judge's shoulders. The judge, a 26-year-old kid wearing a red coat, looked surprised, as he had just thrown his spectacles on the floor and cussed habitually, displaying his unsightly side in front of his favorite gamer.

The judge bowed as he clasped Kunal's hands tightly and introduced himself shyly.

"My name is Aditya, sir. I am from the blah blah blah. Blah blah." Kunal ignored everything besides the judge's name and asked him politely, "What's the problem, Aditya? I will resolve it quickly since you guys are wasting my date time. Kunal said as he subtly glanced at Sophie, who was busy stuffing herself with snacks and drinks.

Aditya gave Kunal a quick rundown of events, which are as follows: Team Madhu won the event, but during the checkup, they gave their phones begrudgingly, and during the investigation, they found uninstalled software, which the players refused to answer, and now their coach was calling him rude and a stuck-up bastard.

Kunal congratulated the winning team with a smile as he calmly listened to their coach's tirade. He ignored the bullshit money talk the founder was spewing and asked the member about the now-deleted app or software.

" Sir, It's nothing, and it's something private; you know, it's one of those games. Ranbir, the youngest member of Takers, who was thought to be cheating, gestured with his eyebrows dancing and a certain look on his eyes and face.

But Kunal, annoyed at his time waste, ignored his looks of shame and spoke openly and loudly, "Aha, so it's an adult game you use to jerk off. It doesn't matter; install it right now."

Ranbir froze, his cheeks reddening in embarrassment and shame, as Kunal's voice was loud enough to revere an entire stadium.

Ranbir glared at Kunal in defiance, but his teammates, who had been supporting him till now, were blatantly ignoring him, and his coach was busy dealing with the stuck-up judge.

Left with no choice, he downloaded the so-called adult game (not sharing with you guys), but the downloaded app wasn't the deleted app.

Kunal snatched his phone and started downloading the cheats he knew about, ignoring the team's frantic attempts to get the phone back.

This show continued for barely a few minutes, as 5G is really fast. He installed the app while raising his arm upstairs, making sure they wouldn't even touch the phone.

Disregarding the team's pleas and shouts, Kunal glanced at the screen where the unknown installed app had changed to the cheating app. The case was now as clear as day. So, Kunal tossed the phone at the judge and took the judge's phone to talk with the takers' coach.

"Hey, listen to me now. Your boys have been proven to be cheaters. So stop this BS and start preparing a new team instead. I won't be giving you another chance with this team anyway. Finished with his peace, Kunal cut off the phone.

Kunal smiled refreshingly and waved at the crowd while walking towards a smiling Sophie—a rare instance.

While Kunal was happily walking toward her, forgetting about the stage drama already, he was stopped by a duo wearing black suits.

The man standing at the helm wearing thug glasses spoke, smiling derogatoryly, "Look, a biting dog is walking toward his mate filled with heat. You godamn son of a bitch!"

Sophie, who was smiling, amused, and entertained by the stage drama she just experienced, froze, her smile vanishing as she looked at two uncultured monkeys smiling confidently and arrogantly.
