Pilot C

High School is just so boring, isn't it? The drama here and there, your friends in their groups, and things never seem to go your way. A kid was sitting in the back of the class with his feet up on the desk. The guy yawned not doing much before he was called on

Teacher: "Hyoga, can you answer this question or are you going to be stuck in the back forever"

The kid just looked up for a moment and saw a math equation that he had already solved that the teacher was going over. He looked down at his paper and then back up

Teenager: "It's 97"

Everyone looked over at the one named Hyoga before turning back to the teacher who just scoffed as usual

Teacher: "Look Hyoga, I know you're smart but you can't just do anything you want when you're done with your work, put your feet down"

With a sigh, the sound of blue vans landed on the floor. As the lesson continued the kid continued to get texts on his phone

"Hey, I'll be outside your classroom okay?"

"Are you seeing these?"

"Oh wait you are, sorry I'm stupid"

"Wait no I'm not stupid"

"NEVER MIND OKAY I'LL SEE YOU LATER~♥️"

He smirked at the texts and as class ended he walked out the room's sliding door to the left seeing a girl with pink hair, an eyepatch over where her second eye should be, a blue Polaroid camera, an oversized pink sweater, and a black skirt

Girl: "Koryu- you said we were going to go to that… devil hunting club or whatever it was called?"

Koryu: "Yuta you know I'm just getting dragged into it right? I wouldn't want to actually go. It's just a bunch of posers who wish they had a devil contract"

Yuta: "Right right, but… You already told them you'd be there soooo" Yuta grabbed the arm of Koryu and started dragging him to the room where the Devil Hunter Club was, The sign was crudely painted with black ink and Koryu groaned as he looked up.

Koryu: "This is so embarrassing"

Inside the room was a good amount of people actually, everyone was looking at the news or at the projector that showed a news report of the recent devil attacks.

News Reporter: "As we can see, there have been signs of ice scattered along the floor from where we saw the compression devil last, however… The person who has a contract with the devil who created this ice is still unknown. There was another sighting of Dragon Knight as well, who promptly disposed of it"

The screen changed to show a picture of Dragon Knight, Although he had a scary appearance Dragon Knight was known across Tokyo as a hero who helped whenever a devil would show up and wreak havoc

When the club discussed more about whatever created this ice Koryu just looked over at Yuta and winked. The girl in pink covered her face as she smiled and laughed. Then before the two of them knew it the club was over.

Yuta: "Oh Koryu, I'd love to spend more time with you but I promised my parents that we would go shopping for groceries so I'll text you later okay?!" Yuta's parents were loving but a bit overbearing, they took great care of their daughter and always made sure she was happy

And so, Koryu was alone. He had other friends, sure but he was fine doing his own thing for a while. It was around the afternoon as he had his hands in his pockets and started to walk out of school and into Tokyo, The city was always bustling and he was about to choose something to eat before he passed an interesting-looking man. He was dressed in all tech-wear kinda stuff… Koryu thought he looked too old to be wearing that… as they exchanged glances Koryu stared into the guy's eyes before just looking forward and passing by, leaving their paths uncrossed.
