Evolution

A/N: so obviously Lucas won't immediately know all of the abilities that came with his evolution, for those who want to know at the END of this chapter I will have more details. Thea won for illusions, it won't be noticeable or powerful right now, Dembe won for the ability which wont be apparent at first but again bottom of chapter will have it if you want to read that. Oliver, well I decided to give him a small enhancement but it will happen later in the story. Like when he actually needs it and I'm not just throwing him one.

-Narrator Pov: right before the particle accelerator explosion-

Stars blanketed the chilly night sky, and a crowd surrounded a single building. There must have been over a thousand people there waiting to see a historical event that will forever change the world.

It will but not in the way they are thinking.

As the particle accelerator started the crowd tool videos, they cheered, they laughed. Some kissed their significant others while some had to stay at work wishing they could go.

Alarm signals began to blare, and the mood, the perfect cheery ambiance shattered. And pure horror ensued, the alarms kept blaring, and people were now feeling. Fearing for their lives.

*zzzzz* a loud sound drew everyone's attention back to the particle accelerator, it was a humming electrifying sound.

Then the chaos turned to mayhem.

*BOOOOM!* an invisible shock wave riveted throughout the city, and the infamous star labs facility blew up a giant beam of energy ascending into the sky

The storm began to pick up, and the unforgiving rain assaulted everyone at intense speeds.

If an outsider were to see this, they would think Central City just became hell.

Events that would be paramount to the future of not only this world but the universe as a whole happened because of this blast.

The only question was. "Was the particle accelerator exploding a blessing or curse to our future,"

*ZZCRACKK!* A bolt of lightning struck a CCPD forensic analyst, he fell back into numerous chemicals.

A scientist that left his bunker to grab test subjects was grinning as he captured an innocent man in an alley, he couldn't foresee the energy blast washing over him, and his victim.

On top of a rooftop overlooking the blast, a young man collapsed as his sister and bodyguard watched in horror.

Nothing could prepare anyone for the change that would occur in his body, the magical energy in his body was aiding in the evolution process.

A magic that allowed one to pull from books but, for a brief moment the dark matter energy from the blast messed with the magic inside Lucas Queens body.

The genetic change that he was undergoing was something more intense as somehow, some way, his body was reconstructing itself to fit the description of his race from different books.

Not only on his planet but on a dimensional level, vampiric abilities that did not appear in books on this world were integrating themselves with Lucas.

Dembe and Thea were by his side as his body spasmed and transformed, his fangs were protruding and retracting.

His eyes were glowing with ferocity like no other.

"What happening!" Thea shouted in alarm

"I don't know," Dembe replied in a deadly serious tone but his emotions were not calm

He felt like he was digesting something, something of which he had no idea of, but he felt himself growing stronger.

Not on a physical level, but a level of which he cannot describe.

Suddenly Lucas stopped spasming, his body went deathly still as he slowly peeled open his eyes.

-Lucas's pov -

"What just happened? What are you!" Thea shouted in alarm

"The drugs are getting to me, it has to be the drugs!" Thea exclaimed with a craze-filled face

She was mentally breaking down, I moved on instinct, I don't know what happened but I just felt like I could do this.

My body blurred and I was in front of Thea, I grabbed her face and looked deeply into her eyes.

"Yoh will forget about what you saw concerning me, the last thing you saw was a beam of light shooting into the sky," I told her

She smiled and said, "Lucas! What's happening with that beam of light? Maybe we should go it's too dangerous!"

I tried to focus on her words but, my mind was elsewhere, I could see everyone, people cheating, committing crimes, loving, laughing, crying. People making small talk, people driving home, Barry Allen laying face-first on the floor.

But I wasn't seeing it in color, more like black and grey.

"My head is pounding," I grunted out

"Oh no, let's get you inside the car I don't feel good about this place," Thea suggested

"I agree," Dembe nodded while holding my shoulder and guiding me to my car

With each step I took, I was met with a new problem, I felt so different but, yet the same.

Suddenly just as the black and white images appeared they disappeared. After a few more steps I realized how lucky I am that Thea and Dembe are walking me to the car. I feel as if one too heavy of a step would cave on the rooftop, one long stride would let me go faster than ever before.

I felt powerful, more powerful than I have felt in a long time, it was intoxicating.

-Dembe pov -

As Thea and I guided Lucas toward the car I couldn't help but feel euphoric, I don't know why but I feel like I am gaining strength, I have never felt this before, it's truly intoxicating, and can be addictive.

As we stepped out of the apartment building the feeling only became stronger.

[Narrator pov Location: unknown]

In an unknown location, seemingly young man sat, silently fuming at what just happened.

He is the personification of Chaos, and he was just cut off from a creature of Chaos. No, it was more like some creature of chaos just separated itself from chaos taking with it the chaotic energy that was supposed to be Klarions.

"How?

"How!"

"HOW, HOW HOW HOW!" he screamed in childish anger

A creature is never supposed to evolve away from its master, the blessing of what happened wouldn't be known to Lucas for some time.

-Lucas's pov -

The car ride home was not silent, Thea was what I would call a social media addict.

"Oh! Someone said that the particle accelerator was really a government-planned explosion to spread fear!"

"Lucas! A reputable scientist just said that everyone that was there will be getting superpowers!"

"Lucas, do you think we are infected with radiation or something? We should go to the doctor, that's what mom texted me,"

My head was hurting, she was talking so much and my hearing was way too sensitive right now.

I sighed and looked at her, "please fall asleep for me," I said in a calm voice contrary to my discomfort

"Whatever I need sleep anyways," she replied and closed her eyes

Once she was asleep Dembe spoke up, "you didn't look surprised by what happened,"

His voice was calm but somehow unnerved me a little.

"That doesn't matter, I have evolved once I figure out my new limitations will you want to be turned?" I asked

He paused to think about it, then I saw a small smile appear on his face.

"Yes, I think it would be best to turn. I can protect you better that way," he replied

"You don't need to protect me all the time Dembe," I replied with a gentle smile

"Of course Lucas, but I can also protect my family better," he then paused for a second and said, "I am feeling something like a power growing I felt it a lot more in the city do you know why?"

I smirked, "I don't know what ability you were gifted but while I figure out my new boost you will figure out yours,"

POWER SPOILERS;

Thea: Illusion abilities slow at the start she will not find out about them but do her illusions out of instinct. Once the learns about her illusions she will progress rapidly.

Dembe: Fear! He can feel and feed on fear. Once he learns how to control it he can manipulate the fears of others and when he reaches a new level that's when shit will get real.
