DC: Lotus

Congrats, he said. Superior Kryptonian, he said. I just wanted to die, not get reincarnated into a fictional world that has a continuation of a treetrunk pattern. So what if I can fly? So what if my punches are powered by the sun? And so what if my new body is a perfect mix of a conquering race of a justice league ripoff and the said Justice League which was seemingly more brutal now? And so what if the people needed someone to save them from death? .... .... .... Damn it. ___ I don't own anything.

Chapter Three

I looked over the reports on bruce wane, why, to prove a fucking point.

I had been stuck in this cave for a week, and I still could not figure out how to fly. Where the hell was my Viltrumite flight? Wasn't that supposed to be natural?

Scowling slightly, I went to another tab and searched for the first appearances of Batman, matching the dates. A few months apart, four to be exact.

But I imagine getting all of this set up in a week would be suspicious.

It would seem legit to anyone else until they researched some very specific details, but that wasn't the concern, it would be easier to connect the dots if the Batman spotting was sooner, he probably was working when he got back from his training.

You know, the usual training arc almost all heroes go through.

Humming slightly, I stood up and stretched, though, I did not need to. Looking around the empty cave, I shrugged absently and walked toward the place I kept my books about languages, this was, what? The eighth one?

This new brain I had in my head was nice and all, but learning languages in minutes is kind of bland and takes the fun out of it.

Before I could start though I gave a glance at the cave one more time before opening the book.

"What are you doing?"

I tensed, closed the book, and threw it at the asshole that was most definitely taking pleasure in scaring the shit out of me.

"Piace of shit! Stop doing that!"

The said asshole caught the book and looked at it curiously.

"Arabic. Did you enjoy learning new languages in your world too?"

I shook my head.

"Unlike this planet, Krypton was united, we needed to be, the climates were harsher... I think. We never really needed more than one language. This planet is really dumb, no wonder you haven't even looked for life outside your solar system properly."

Batman didn't show any sort of indication that he was offended and looked over at the laptop he provided me for "Cultural education".

"I see you have been researching me."

I shrugged again at his statement.

"Yeah, and I must say, you were greener than grass when you first started, I mean come on, starting right after you got home after "Traveling the world to find yourself"? Come on, could have at least waited a year, Bruce."

He didn't stiffen, he didn't even look surprised, he just looked over at me for a few seconds before nodding. I blinked, did he just agree with me, or was that a confirmation that he was, indeed, Bruce Wane?

"Get dressed, we are going out."

I blinked and frowned, that made it sound like he was my parent. Keeping silent, I got up and walked over to get a shirt. When you suddenly get abs, you will want to show them off too, the best part? They are permanent.

___

"Bruh, you are rich."

I mumbled, looking at the giant ass mansion that I was in right now.

Looking to my left, I saw Bruce, without his super-suit, for once. He was wearing just a normal suit.

Like, seriously, who wears a suit in their house?

"Indeed, I am. Your deductive skills amaze me."

Ah, the personality switch, hmm, it's like he has a switch in his head that can change personalities.

"Hilarious. You going to make me join the "Teen Titans" team to make a superhero?"

The question was valid, I was interested.

"Do you want to?"

The question he asked in return caught me off guard, the guy who trained twelve-year-old kids to fight crime would give me the choice to decide if I wanted to be a hero or not.

But really, I shouldn't be, this was Batman, not Lex Luthor, of course, I would have a choice, But did I really?

Could I deny the one that sent me here for his amusement, I knew the consequences if I did, but was I willing to risk it? No, no I wasn't.

Walking over to the window and glancing at the sun, I waited for the feeling, and I got it as soon as my skin came into contact with the direct sunlight.

The numbness I had been feeling in the cave faded away like it was never there, and the muscles in my body relaxed and I didn't even feel the weight of my body.

If I didn't know that my hand was there, I wouldn't even know I had an appendage. Clenching and unclenching my fist, I felt my muscles tense.

This was intoxicating. I felt amazing, fantastic even.

If I knew how I would blast out of here to fly, I felt like I could fly.

"I don't know, but I'm willing to try it out."
