The commander didn't think that this was going to be a problem however since unlike the other monsters Alex was on their side and was a very straightforward individual. Zain looked awkward as he apologized to Alex and asked for his sword back. Alex thought about eating the fire attribute sword just to get back at the man but decided against it in the end and returned it. Once that whole charade was over with Alex took this opportunity to walk over to the edge of the dock and slide into the water below.
Much like he expected zorah's passage had sent the local marine life into chaos with the entire reef seemingly empty of life as all the fish were hiding or had fled far away. This was fine as far as Alex was concerned since he actually only entered the water to escape the crowd of people. 'Hmmm , i wonder if i should head over to the forest for a hunt?' he thought as he glided through the water smoothly. In the end Alex did indeed decide to head over to the ancient forest in order to go on a hunt of some kind.
The trip over to the shore of the forest was incredibly quite due to most of the wildlife hiding or having fled from zorah. When walking out of the water onto land Alex noticed that while not hiding like the sea creatures the terrestrial life was very skittish of any sudden changes. This was especially trues of those by the now cooled globs of lava that zorah had left on the ground while trying to hit Alex with them. Even Alex himself could still feel the oppressively aura coming from that lava despite a few hours having passed since zorah flung them at him.
'Elder dragons are fucking crazy strong.' Alex thought once more at this phenomena. Ignoring the timid and small creatures Alex walked calmly through the field until he found some large foot prints with obvious reptilian properties. 'Great jagras from the looks of it , perfect.' he thought as he identified the prints and began to crouch walk while following them. From an outside perspective the scene of Alex tracking down the great jagras would have been unnerving as each time he passed through a shadow he seemed to partially vanish before reappearing all while laser focused on the trail before him.
After moving deeper into the forest for about an Hour Alex found his target drinking from a stream that ran through a large clearing in the forest that was covered in shadows with a huge group of stones hung up overhead somehow. A group of kestadon roared and made defensive postures at the massive yellow and blue reptile drinking. The great jagras was easily the size of a large car from earth and looked suspiciously like a very large iguana except that it could consume a meal that was the same size as it was due to it expandable stomach.
This trait was what gave it the nickname "glutton" in the hunter community. Alex silently moved through the shadows until he was not more than a few meters of the oblivious monster before his leg muscles tensed and he bolted forward. "CRASH! , ROAR!" Alex slammed into the beast side were he bit into it's throat while digging his claws into it's side while the venom glands in them started pumping toxin into the great jagras's body. In an instant the fate of this beast was decided thanks to this very venom since while he didn't have a trait for it Alex had discovered that the venom was based off of his diet making it exceptionally potent.
Thanks to this Alex's venomous claws contained an extremely terrifying cocktail of paralytic , anti coagulant and neurotoxic venom. This meant that soon the great jagras could no longer move while the blood in it's body hemorrhaged out since the wound refused to scab over all while the nerves started to die. Alex lacked the strength to snap the beast neck so he ripped it's throat out to finish it off and free it from the suffering he inflicted on it.
