The Regret, The Surprise, & The Uncertainty
Darren sighed after smiling at Timothee. Tim smiled back but he noticed it seemed to be smaller than usual and is followed with uncertainty.
His heart skipped a beat. Something's not right here. What did Hugo tell him this morning?
"Tim?" he called just as he started to drive.
Tim didn't answer for a minute and it took all Darren's positivity not to wallow in anxiousness. Does Tim know something that Darren doesn't?
Darren held onto his bag tight, trying not to think off too much but what if Hugo had said something that will make Darren bad? What if he had revealed something? What if—
"Are you busy?" Tim asked and Darren held his breath when he finally spoke. Why?
"I-i don't think so, no. Why?" he asked, slightly paranoid of what's happening.
"Okay" instead of answering Darren's why, he said okay?
Darren concluded Tim really knows something. Curse Hugo for that.
