New Quest! Invite a Player?

"I guess I should start with the fact that I went to the Headquarters and got tested."

Addy looked at her brother in shock! Those were words that she believed she would never hear since their father had died. After all her brother had quit school! She screamed almost immediately, "REALLY?! HOW?! WHY?! WHEN?! WHERE?!"

Covering his ears, Victor felt like his ears were bleeding, but still replied patiently, "Well I did it, so I should first off telling you... I'm sorry!... I took a stupid gamble and used almost all our money on it."

"Who cares! Tell me why! I thought you gave up on being a cultivator!" Addy couldn't hold herself back as she looked at him with wide eyes.

"Alright alright, so you ask why? I told you it was a gamble, but I didn't do it simply because I wanted to gamble our future, instead... Well..." Victor seemed slightly stressed at how to explain himself to his sister, but eventually took a deep breath to calm himself. Looking at his wide eyed sister he spoke with some confidence, "I will start from the beginning... I got something weird that came to me a week ago.

It looks like the system used by the game I played in high school before dad died, "Cursed Dungeons" This new system gave me a quest that I could complete to get rewards, it was a "Weekly Quest" that would reward me with a 'blood skill' and experience, as long as I killed 1 to 10 living things. It claimed that the more I killed, then the better rewards I could get. So with our situation, I decided to go out and kill ten things."

At this point of the explanation he was interrupted by Addy's excited scream, "CAN I GET IT TOO?"

Just as Victor was going to say a definite no a *ding* notification from his system sounded.

Seeing this new quest and the information that popped up Victor was shocked, especially with the information that makes his sister be able to get a cultivation system sooner. It was common knowledge that people could only get a cultivation system when they turned sixteen.

That is why it is such a celebration that happens at the end of everyone's school career. Turning towards his sister he began to wonder if he should give her this system, but that only lasted for a moment before pressing the Accept button.

The originally extremely excited Victor was now looking like he had just swallowed a fly. Addy, seeing her brother go through so many emotions was confused about what had just happened. Going up to her brother, Addy hugged him and asked, "What's wrong?"

The sound of his sister's voice woke Victor from his hellish anguish of having to kill 100,000 living beings. Still, looking at his sister's worried expression he smiled deciding that no matter what, his sister would be the only one whom he could trust completely. "Well, apparently I can give you a system like mine, but I have to kill a lot of living beings. *sigh* So many living beings... Well, I guess I should just continue with what I was telling you before."

Addy was slightly disappointed by the tone of voice her brother was using when describing how many living beings he had to kill, but with the possibility still being there, she just laughed happily and spoke in a cheerful tone, "It's OK, I don't care if you can't do it now or ever. Just be sure to take the best care of me, alright?"

Hearing that his sister wasn't too bummed about not being able to receive a system like his, he just continued with what he was explaining. "Alright so back to what I was saying. So I completed the quest by killing the ten beings. Now you see the reason why I couldn't come back for the night as I spent it in the forest. After killing and getting my rewards I unlocked the inventory which I named as storage. The rewards I got were a blood talent and the blood skill book that I wanted. After learning the skill, 'Blood Ark' and getting the talent 'low regeneration' I left to go to the Cultivators Headquarters."

Again Addy interrupted Victor yelling excitedly, "You have to tell me what they do! Skills are so hard to get for regular people! Come on~ tell me!"

Hearing his sister's excited voice, Victor told her everything to do with his skill and new regeneration ability. Only after giving her a far too in-depth explanation, could he continue his story, "Then at the Cultivators Headquarters I got tested and got only three Cultivation systems, which according to the service lady, means I am extremely talented in those three cultivation systems. In the first place, I got Celestial Cultivation system, then in second place I got God Cultivation system, which both are Platinum Tier cultivation systems." Victor stated this proudly.

Hearing this his sister screamed again in excitement, "AHH! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! How could you get two Platinum Tier cultivation systems?! Wait so what was your third place?"

Hearing his sister ask about his third most compatible system Victor choked a bit, clearing his throat he spoke in a proud tone, "That isn't important, what is important is that with a metal Tier cultivation system, we get a lot of money, so money is no longer a problem."

Hearing her brother Addy was extremely happy, but she couldn't let the third system go so easily, "So what was the other cultivation system?" Wearing a curious expression she asked as if she desperately wanted to know what cultivation system her brother had.

Victor of course still embarrassed by the common cultivation system showing up tried to change the topic, "Hey forget about that and I bet you are hungry right? I'll go make dinner. After all the hunting I have a lot of Ungulates."

Addy became even more curious about what this system could be that he wanted to hide it. This dodging made her usually direct to brother, "Nope. Not gonna eat anything until you tell me what you got!"

Hearing his sister still insisting, Victor ignored her and started making dinner. Addy seeing her brother ignoring her started to glare with a cute angry face. Victor seeing this only thought to himself, 'I wonder how long you can last if you smell my amazing cooking?'

After one hour the food was almost ready and the tantalizing smell was permeating throughout the house. Yet Addy appeared unmoved despite her stomach rumbling that could be heard now and again.

Serving the food Victor served the two plates and calmly started to eat tempting his hungry sister, but when he saw how unmovable his sister was he couldn't take it watching her be hungry while eating. After a small sigh, he walked up to his sister who was still kneeling on the couch and glaring at him. He picked her up making her release a small squeal. He spoke with a calm tone, "It was a Brown Tier Cultivation system, so just come and eat. It's not worth your hunger."

Hearing that it was a Brown Tier Cultivation system Addy was now really mad, "How is it that just a Brown Tier made me go this hungry! This is all your fault! JERK!"

After sitting down with his sister, the two of them finally started to eat. During the meal, Addy suddenly remembered something, "Wait! This doesn't explain that girl at all!"

Pausing Victor remembered he only explained what he believed was most important, "Well you see she is a classmate of mine that I met at the Cultivator Headquarters. She is from the powerful LockHeart family. Apparently, she was paying attention to me and heard I was taking the test, so when she later learned of my results, she came to congratulate me."

"Hmm?? That doesn't explain anything!"

"Well, she also came to invite me to the NORO event that they have every year. We talked and I think we became friends if that means anything."

"Oh~ So it is a love story of the poor boy and the rich girl?"

Victor could only blush furiously while answering, "No if it was like that I would have at least asked her out during school...*sigh* Instead it looks to be more like a platonic partnership." Although he said that in the back of his mind, Victor wondered if he should be expecting something from Alice. After all a guy can dream.

"Fine~" Addy gave up since she knew she couldn't get a confession out of him. So instead she enjoyed the Ungulate, but while eating another question popped into her mind, "Wait if you got a weekly quest last week, then does that mean that you are about to get one now?"
