Zero had in front of himself a contract. He made sure that he read it thoroughly before even signing it.
After learning that he was able to leave the guild at any given time he signed the paper.
After signing the paper, Victor started speaking to him. About how things worked. There was a watch that was needed that was pretty much a type of identification. Zero had to keep it on his wrist when he went out to portals. It also served as a type of debit card that would hold the coins he would gain through quests.
"You can even give coins to another person simply by transferring them," said Victor. He then transferred some coins to Zero to demonstrate how it was done.
Zero was about to send him the money back, but Victor quickly stopped him.
"That is the amount of coins you get from the dungeon. Since you were the one to conquer it all I'm giving it all to you," said Victor.
It was also explained that through the small watch one could accept some quests.
'That explains why the quest board didn't have any type of finger prints on it,' thought Zero while everything was being explained to him.
After the explanation was over he was about to leave through the elevator, but he turned around and asked: "Is there a place I can stay at?"
He was quickly informed about the adventurer's dormitory, which was located on the building next to this one.
Zero quickly went on to the building and registered himself. He went to the room to rest.
"I got 5,000 coins from a simple dungeon run. The lodging at this place costed 1,000. I still don't know how much these coins are worth though so I don't know how expensive this all is. Shadow, do you know?"
[I do not. You should go around the village tomorrow and see the price of things.]
"I guess I'll do that, but I'll do it tomorrow. I'll go to sleep now."
[With your mask on?] asked Kunaigai.
"It's actually incredibly comfortable. I also can't risk someone seeing my face. In the future I want to live a peaceful life without any disturbances, but I don't want to wear a mask at all times in said future," said Zero before going on to sleep.

Zero woke up the next morning.
He then went up to the second floor of the guild building to get some breakfast.
After eating his breakfast, he went to the first floor's quest board and chose a quest that was in the F rank. He could go up another rank if he wanted to, but he wanted to make sure to fight against as many monsters as he could. This way he could practice in hunting different type of monsters.
He went to the designated portal as quickly as he could, hoping to finish everything as quickly as he could.
Unlike the portal he went to the day before, this one was full of people. Not many of them were entering the portal. People were mostly looking for a party to conquer the dungeon with.
Of course this didn't involve Zero as he was going in alone. If he didn't go alone he wouldn't be able to hide his abilities. At the moment, he would only wear a mask just in case somebody sees what he can do.
He entered the dungeon and a new status window popped up in front of him.
At the moment it read: [Defeat the leader of the kobolds].
He entered the kobold dungeon as he thought he could learn something new from them. They should be faster than goblins and their attack pattern should be different since they use their claws instead of clubs.
He started walking further into the cave. This time, however, he couldn't steal a weapon from the enemy, so he had Kunaigai create a short sword and a small shield. This two weapons would help him since they allowed him quite a bit of mobility in the narrow cave.
By walking for a small while, he was able to encounter the first kobold. He would have approached it slowly if the kobold wasn't already looking at him.
He brought up his shield in front of him, and he raised his sword, ready to swing it down at the kobold at any time.
The kobold pounced at him, widely swinging its claws. Zero slightly moved to the side, using his shield to slightly move the claws away from him. He moved on to the side and swung his sword at the kobold's neck, but the kobold quickly brought up its claws and blocked the attack. Seeing this, Zero quickly jumped back, creating some distance between the two. At this point he knew the speed of the kobold and decided to use some other weapons instead.
The short sword and the shield would be good against an opponent slower than the kobold, but at the moment he needed something that would help him move more quickly and precisely.
He made Kunaigai make him two gauntlets with small blades protruding from the forearm area. The blades were located on the back of the hand.
This time was he was ready to clash with the kobold once again.
The kobold pounced on him again. He ducked under claws moving in closer while blocking them with his left arm. He then quickly hit the kobold with an uppercut, stabbing the blade from the bottom of the jaw to the top of its head. He then removed the blade and the kobold fell down to the floor.
"Whew. At least I managed to find out the speed of the kobold and its attack power, but I can't be too certain. I will have to fight more to find out the average of the kobolds. Once I get used to them, I shall be able to handle them faster," said Zero to himself.
[Make sure not to get caught up in their jaws. You don't know how strong they are.] said Kunaigai.
[And also make sure not to get surrounded by them] said Shadow.
"Yeah, I know. Kunai give me two daggers this time."
[Why don't you say Crimson loadout?]
"I don't wanna. It's too long."
[Fine then, change the name to one that's to your liking.]
Zero didn't think long and said: "Gunvault. And since everything in the loadout is crimson I'll just say the name out of the weapon I want. Unless I don't know the name of said weapon, in which case I'll describe it."
[Fine, Gunvault it is. Shadow please change it for me.] said Kunaigai, sounding kind of dejected.
[I already did.]
[You didn't like it either, huh?]
Before Kunaigai became even more dejected, Zero started talking.
"Anyways. Onwards! To the dungeon's boss."
[Yaaay.] said Kunaigai with no enthusiasm whatsoever.
'This is going to be a long day,' thought Zero after hearing Kunaigai's reply.
He then went on deeper into the cave looking for more enemies.
