Azure walked through the winding halls of the castle, his footsteps echoing in the quiet corridors. Reaching Lysara's chamber, he pauses only long enough to catch his breath and knock firmly on the wooden door.
After a moment, the door creaks open, revealing Lysara, her dark hair loose over her shoulders. Her sharp, intelligent eyes widen at the sight of him. "Azure? What in the world happened to you? You look like you've been running for hours."
Azure forces a tired smile, his chest still heaving. "Well, I have. And I have very bad news." He glances behind her. "Can we talk inside? This is serious."
Lysara steps aside, gesturing for him to enter. "Of course. Come in. You're making me nervous already."
The room is modest but comfortable, lit by the warm glow of a fireplace. Lysara shuts the door behind him, motioning to a chair near the hearth. "Sit, before you collapse. And start talking."
