I'll Steal It

Lilian Mo had to put up three whole days with someone like Lu Jingren.

She didn't think that it would be so easy to have survived three days without killing each other, after all, surprising her negative feelings and hate was not easy.

Lilian Mo was truly surprised by how patient she was.

However, she sincerely curses Lu Jingren and his rotten mouth for always having a comeback and for making a lot of annoying comments.

"If you don't talk, no one would think that you're mute."

Lilian Mo was actually starting to regret it. Although Lu Jingren isn't the type to chatter his responses held a lot of meanings that made her think of how sharp he was.

How quickly did he guessed that she wasn't the same person from before when they have only met recently?

If someone would notice, it would be someone like Mu Qingqing or Mu Qianmo since Lilian Mo has known the two for a really, really long time.

However, only Mu Qianmo has shown some reactions to her obvious change in personality.

Perhaps Mu Qingqing had noticed it but her blind trust towards Lilian Mo always seems to get in the way.

Lilian Mo exhaled.

Today will mark the fourth day of being alone with him.

Making meals wasn't as tough as she expected but the mood easily became complicated.

Lilian Mo was able to easily slip into her old habits. It was during the first day that she suddenly asked him what he wanted for dinner.

"I like spicy foods and seafood though considering our current situation, we should start minding our meals and avoid eating too much."

"I always mind our meals."

It was his sudden silence that made Lilian Mo embarrassed. That was not a situation where she wanted to find herself in.

"Lu Jingren, don't misunderstand." Lilian Mo quickly supplied. "I am not just talking about me or you, but everyone in the team."

"Ah, yes. You don't need to explain further. "

"Don't get the wrong idea."

Lilian Mo must've looked and sounded quite defensive because Lu Jingren became extremely quiet throughout the whole meal.

"Ah, I forgot about my chocolate milk. Weren't you bribing me?"

Though he immediately started talking when it came down to his favorite drink.

'Lu Jingren, I hope you grow fat.' Lilian Mo thought while staring at him unhappily.

Their sleeping arrangements were quite easy. Lilian Mo stayed in the space while Lu Jingren was outside.

While she had adjusted herself and could talk with him like any normal person, the idea of sleeping in the same bed quickly made all her progress go back to zero.

Her face had gone pale and her lips ashen. Lilian Mo entered her space without saying a word.

She wasn't sure how long she stood at the same place, staring, thinking but eventually, she went to sleep alone.

And before sleeping, she told herself some very important words.

'You're free. You're free.'

On the second day, Lilian Mo was very silent and she focused on watching the people outside.

She even snuck out from time to time to listen in on their conversation. However, some people possessed heightened senses so even with her skills, eavesdropping would be difficult.

"Those two look important. And that Ye Yu guy carries a clipboard and a folder in his hands. It might contain some valuable information."

When hearing Lu Jingren's words, Lilian Mo then knew what to do.

"I'll steal it."

Hence, after another awkward dining experience, Lilian Mo waited until nighttime before sneaking closer to steal the necessary items.

She doesn't like Ye Yu, the same way she doesn't like Nathan Yang. Both of these two people have some kind of attitude.

Much like Nathan Yang, the scheming bastard.

So of course, stealing from Ye Yu was nothing to Lilian Mo since she didn't feel the least bit guilty.

It was truly laughable how these people didn't even know that they were being watched and were currently staying in the same hotel with two other ability users who were not part of their group.

So it was no surprise how Lilian Mo was able to gain the clipboard and folder undetected.
