Coming of the Apocalypse Queen

In the year 2XXX, a blue meteor from outer space landed on Earth and signaled the dawn of the apocalypse. More than 60% of the population was wiped out by a mysterious disease. Plants and animals turned into mutants. People gained powers and abilities. The world and the government collapsed and turned into a world where only the strong is respected while the weak are doomed to die. Lilian Mo didn't have a good life during the apocalypse. She was reduced to being a possession of her fiancé and became his glorified bed warmer. He kept her locked up in his villa and rarely allowed her to go out, keeping her around as his pet that he took care of. Though it was considered a luxury to be able to eat three times a day and drink clean water in the apocalypse when all the water sources are contaminated, Lilian Mo sneered at this kind of life and escaped her confinement meeting people along the way and gaining an ability on her own. She found 'friends' during her journey and fought alongside them through life and death, only to be betrayed by them. Lilian Mo died tragically when she was pushed to a group of mutant animals by her so-called 'friend' whom she treated as a sister. When it seemed like everything was going to end for her, she opened her eyes and went back to her sixteen-year-old body, two months before the apocalypse. "The heavens have not forsaken me." Lilian Mo swore to grow stronger and take revenge on those that betrayed her trust. Lucky for her, she was reborn with the knowledge of the future and given her own special dimension. Her golden cheats allowed her to sail through the apocalypse without worrying about food or water. After waking up two months before the apocalypse, Lilian Mo decided to set her eyes on the people that wronged her. ▪▪▪ A story about a girl's journey to becoming stronger while trying to survive in the apocalyptic world and facing the man of her past. ▪▪▪ Reminding my readers that this book's rating is [No One 17 And Under Allowed] which means it contains mature content not suitable for young readers. Read at your own discretion. This also includes gore, violence, abuse, and explicit content because the setting is an apocalyptic world. The MC is a heartless person who kills without hesitation but has a soft spot for the people she cares about. If this bothers you, feel free to drop the book. There are no major misunderstandings between the characters. Face slapping is reduced to a minimum and there are no exaggerated or draggy arguments. I only write happy endings ;) This is pure fiction. Don't expect it to be realistic. My third language is English--hoping that the Grammar Nazis would be gentle with me Cover photo not mine. I only edited it.

Dr. Fang

October 2XXX, City B, Northwest, Section 1

Present Time

The banging sound coming from the door continued to get louder and the small yet loud voices of children shouting can be heard from the outside.

"DR. FANG! DR. FANG! PLEASE!"

Lin Fang took off the surgical mask he was wearing and walked towards the door with haste. He turned the handle open. He then met the anxious gazes of two children who seemed to be around the age of ten and twelve.

"Dr. Fang!"

"Ugh... So scary... Dr. Fang, your hands are covered with blood!"

The two completely freaked out and took two steps backward from him.

"Umm... Dr. Fang... Aunt wasn't feeling better. She started vomiting today and suddenly fainted. Please! You need to help her!" One of the children said, mustering up their courage to talk to him.

Lin Fang furrowed his brows. His important work was interrupted yet again. "Go ahead. I'll be there." He said in a patient tone.

He closed the door again and went back inside. He removed his bloody gloves and threw them in the trash can. Before going out, he decided to wash his hands first by wetting them with clean, running water.

He applied the soap, lathering them on his hands and rubbing them together. He cleaned between his fingers, under his nails, and at the backs of his hands. He counted 20 seconds of scrubbing time before rinsing. He patted his hands dry using a clean towel.

Feeling that they were clean enough, he grabbed his kit and went out of his clinic. He passed through many people, all of whom were avoiding him and whispering to each other.

"Ah... it's that guy, right?"

"Yeah, it's that psychopath."

"Don't look at him or you might be the next victim."

Lin Fang did not pay attention to this. The area he was in was not as populated but he still encountered people every once in a while.

Section 1 of the base was relatively wide and was at the outermost area of the base. Because the base was shaped like a dome, it was divided into three sections.

Section 1 was where most of the refugees stayed and it was considered the residential area. It was also the largest area among the three sectors. Section 2 was where the commercial buildings and facilities were located. He often came there to trade food and other supplies. As for Section 3, only a limited number of people could enter this area because this place was reserved for the military and the higher-ups that were managing the base.

He was offered residence there but he refused since he did not want to be around those people.

As Lin Fang walked, he went through a familiar alley, avoided a muddy road, and skipped through wastes and trash. After fifteen minutes of speed walking, he arrived at a small apartment and climbed to the second floor. He knocked on the first door he saw.

The two children from earlier opened the door and saw him.

"Dr. Fang!" They chorused excitedly.

Lin Fang smiled at them. He then went to the bedroom and saw a middle-aged woman lying on the bed. Seeing her already pale complexion, he got to work without saying anything. he adjusted his glasses and checked for the woman's pulse.

He ran a series of diagnoses and checks. Once he found what he was looking for, he felt less worried.

"Auntie, you forgot to drink your medicine again, right?"

The middle-aged old woman opened their eyes and smiled with embarrassment.

"Sorry, Dr. Fang. This was my negligence... It's just I tend to forget because I have to take care of my two nephews."

Lin Fang adjusted his glasses again. His face must have been sweaty since they keep sliding down. "Aunt, I told you that if you don't have medicine, you can tell one of these brats to come to me and I'll give you the medicine for free."

"I still have medicine in the cabinet."

Lin Fang didn't point out the woman's lie. In the end, he left her some medicine and reminded her to take a rest since overexhaustion would cause her problems. She was already old. It was normal for people to get sick at this age.

When he was at the door, he looked at the two children and spoke in a strict tone.

"Your aunt is already so old. You two should behave and stop making things hard for her. As a man, you need to stop relying on other people and learn to become independent."

The two children nodded at him, listening very attentively then they flashed him a smile.

"Dr. Fang, thank you for taking care of Aunt."

"Dr. Fang, about earlier... were you hurt?"

"I was operating on a dead body."

The two children's faces became pale when they heard this. They murmured among themselves.

"Dr. Fang really has a weird hobby."

"Ah.. now I know why Dr. Fang keeps rejecting those women. It's just that no one would like such a person doing that kind of weird stuff."

"You two little brats, I can hear you."

The two instantly stiffened.

"...."
