Unexpected Enemy

Montu was walking happily toward goblin camp with Happy behind him.

He wasn't able to smile as a zombie because he had no control over his facial muscles, he could only move his jaw. He was happy inside.

"I have to level up Plague Sorcery as soon as possible. It's the most beneficial skill. I think the system shop won't even sell skills like this."

"The proficiency increased by 20 when I controlled Happy, so I have to control 4 more but the maximum control limit for the current skill level is 2. What type of scam is this?"Montu thought while walking.

He didn't use his movement skill as this would leave Happy behind as his movement stat was already a point lower than Montu's and he would lag behind very much if quick steps were to be used.

'This means I would have to turn some into zombies, control them and let them die, to increase the skill proficiency.' While he was thinking this, Montu heard a thud behind him, so he turned his head to look behind and was quite amused to see the view.

The sword which was in Happy's hand was lying on the ground, and his whole body was shivering, this shouldn't be possible for zombies but still, it happened.

'He is shivering in fear, he may have heard what I was thinking, and thought that I would sacrifice him.'

'Does this mean, he can think just like me??' Well, I don't have much information about what type of strange zombie I am, it may be because he was made a zombie by me.

It doesn't seem to be much, but there is surely some intelligence in him. Guess we have to wait, to uncover the truth.

Montu went near Happy, picked up the sword and placed it in his hand, and consolidated him. 'I will never sacrifice you, you're the first one I controlled from this skill and it's thanks to you that I have obtained this. We will both grow together. I was thinking of sacrificing other zombies whom I will control."

He stopped shivering and looked at Montu with cute eyes.

Montu said "Are you a puppy or something"

They started to walk again. It was already nightfall, a normal human won't be able to see anything in such darkness but since They were undead they could see much more clearly than living beings. It was a moonless night.

Since 'Destiny' was so big, it had 4 suns to illuminate every part, they were of different colors, green, blue, yellow and orange. They were colorful only by looks, all had the same color light.

And moons were also multiple, 3 moons which were red, violet, and white. But all three decided to go on holiday at the same day.

They were walking in a dark and silent night. Only their footsteps could be heard and nothing else.

But the silence wasn't to someone's liking. The System

Suddenly when they were walking, the system began to ring louder than Montu has ever heard. It was flashing in front of his eyes while making strange sounds.

Before Montu was able to understand something his hand was detached from his shoulder.

Before he could even get his thoughts straight, Montu's other hand was cut off.

HP=50/72

He finally managed to read the System's

words.

            An immediate threat to LIFE

   Winning is impossible, recommend running as soon as possible.

     Escape alive= 1 level up

     Unable to stay alive= Death

'Immediate threat to life, but I can't even see my opponent, how do I escape from such a fast enemy.' He thought.

My mind stat is 0, I couldn't even think straight until my 2 arms were gone.

Montu was in his thoughts and, just then Happy began to run towards him without receiving any order. He came and stood in front of Montu while taking a fighting stance.

The enemy was nowhere to be seen, but the quest was still on meaning the opponent was still there.

In the next second Happy was cut in half, the cut was from his left shoulder to the right side of his waist.

It was a clean cut, like paper being cut by scissors.

Montu's brain was in an unstable state.

He saw his companion cut in half in front of his eyes.

'He came to defend me without even me ordering him to do so. And this is what he gets for his loyalty.' Montu thought.

He lost all hope of surviving from such an unfathomable opponent. He wasn't even able to get a glimpse of the enemy.

'Is this the end for me, what bad things did I do to someone for 'Karma' to punish me even in my second life.'

Author = You are a zombie, my friend, you killed a person by making a trap, and still thinking about what bad things you did. I guess you don't want to die.

System= Let him die, and I will get a new host.

Author= You are a two-faced system. Heh...., you joke with him and make fun of him, and now you want to kill him to get another host. You will have to make do with him, you aren't getting another one.

System= ○_○... I was just joking, how could I let my beloved host die? If you wouldn't have intervened I would have given him some amazing skills for free..... Hehehe...(laughing sound)

Montu shouted with all his might, "What have I done to you, why are you killing me?"

And at the next moment, a shadow flashed before his eyes, and he saw someone standing in front of him.

"So you can speak, seems to have some intelligence." Said the person in front of him.

How many fingers are these, asked the person to Montu while showing him 3 fingers.

"Do you think I am a kid, what type of stupid question is that?' Replied Montu.

"I thought you spoke from being in this desperate situation,  but it seems I was wrong you clearly are able to think and respond."

Interesting, very interesting. Said the person while wagging her tail in excitement.
