The Voice Outside

I grip both sides of the wooden tub, gasping in disbelief. My astonishment blocked my concentration, causing the barrier of water to fail instantaneously. Within seconds, I screamed when it all comes crashing down on me and the floor in a loud splash.

My hair is now dripping wet covering my face that still isn't relieved from my bewilderment. I never thought that it would work, and maybe I took myself as foolish as to result in trying. Yet, I amazed myself once again.

I lift my freezing hands that started to shake, to part my hair away from my face. The performance I tried to execute only made my bath water ice cold. I needed to get out of here before I turn frozen.

Grabbing my robe, which is thankfully dry, I slipped out of the tub and into the flooded tiled ground. The temperature has dropped too much that I don't want to bother cleaning up. I only want to be in the comfort of my bed, near the fireplace, and keep warm.
