The inhabitants of Mystic's palace were frantic with fear as they searched for Princess Corina, who had gone missing. They had assigned all the knights to scour the territory for signs of her.
"I hope Alexander returns soon," Nadine said with a look of worry. "I can't believe Corina was abducted! It's all our fault."
"I should have been guarding her," Arden groaned into his palm. "I feel as if this is partially my fault."
"No, we all should've been more diligent," Nadine said to him. "It's just been such a wonderful time of peace for our kingdom that I never would have dreamt someone would have snuck into the palace and successfully snatched her. I hope she's okay. She has to be scared."
Arden nodded. He frowned as he thought of the possibility of someone discovering her secret. It could have terrible consequences if the wrong person uncovered the truth. "Lady Nadine. May I borrow a horse? I shall search further for clues."
