WHO HE REALLY IS?!

Arvita felt drops of sweat starting to appear, her eyes trying not to look straight. But wouldn't it be strange and funny if she kept trying to avoid a deadly stare?

Benjamin Arman Dirk Eugenius - the man, gave his best gaze. There wasn't the slightest hint of a smile on her face, only a mouth too stiff for the man to move.

Arvita has answered all of Hidayat's questions. A standard question he is used to at job interviews.

Hidayat scratched his head because all the questions had been asked to Arvita.

"Mr. Armand?" Hidayat called hesitantly.

"Is there anything else you wanted to ask?"

Armand clasped his hands together and seemed to think while looking at Arvita was still awkward.

"The same question I will be asking everyone I interview today," Armand said.

Arvita straightened her body and swallowed her saliva. She returned to focus on the question Armand would ask.

Arvita tried to smile, hoping Armand wouldn't ask a difficult question for her.

"Miss Arvita..?"

Armand was ready with his question.

Arvita's face stiffened. "Yes, sir?"

"What would you do if I asked you to do something?"

"Hah..? Do something?" Said Arvita in confusion.

Hidayat rubbed his hands and suddenly felt the room become so cold.

"What are you going to do? The options are, shoot me dead with a gun? Or let me fall into the abyss."

"HAAA?? What kind of question is this?" Arvita's mind started to get annoyed.

Is this very relevant to her current job? Is this what is meant by inhumanity, spoken by the woman in the blue shirt before her?

Arvita smiled again, even though, her hands were tightly clasped.

"Why are you asking this kind of question, Mr. Armand? I think..."

"What you are thinking right now will be useless if you can't answer my question. Easy, isn't it? You answer my question and explain why."

"But if you don't want to, I won't force you either. You can get out of this room, and please embarrass yourself with the failures you made without maximum effort.

"Hahh..?!" Arvita snorted in annoyance.

This man never spoke more than a paragraph. Finally, he spoke arrogantly, trying to show his prowess in front of Arvita, who looked like a coward.

"Coward???

Arvita Desi Mawarni Cahya is not a coward. I will prove that I can answer silly questions like that." Arvita thought with explosive emotions.

"Okay, Mr. Armand, I will answer your question," Arvita emphasized her statement, her chest puffed up with pride.

Hidayat is surprised by the change in Arvita, who looks confident.

"What shall I do? Shoot you dead, or let you fall into the abyss?" Arvita repeated Armand's question.

The man only slightly raised his chin.

"What I'm going to do is SHOOT YOU DEAD."

Hidayat held his breath. Now his heart was beating faster. Take turns looking at Armand and Arvita alternately.

"Why did I choose that? Because of your choice, Mr. Armand. In the end, you will meet death."

"Regardless of what the reason is, what I'm thinking is how to make you DIE, right?"

"If I let you fall into the abyss, will you die instantly? Not necessarily? It could be that you just broke a bone. It leaves you crippled for life."

"But by shooting you dead, I can determine where the gun is pointing and make sure YOU DIE right away."

"That's my answer. Are you satisfied with my answer, Mr. Armand?"

Armand immediately whispered to Hidayat beside him. Arvita tried to eavesdrop even though her efforts were in vain, but she couldn't catch a single word from them.

Armand rose from his seat and looked at Arvita with a straight face. Then just walked away from the interview room.

Only Arvita and Hidayat were in the room.

Hidayat took a deep breath while Arvita is still looking confused.

"Mr. Hidayat? Have I finished? I know I will fail this interview session. Sorry for disappointing you. Then I'll just go home."

Hidayat immediately walked cheerfully to Arvita, holding her hand excitedly.

"Who said you failed?"

"Ah?? What do you mean, sir?" Arvita is getting weird and confused.

"You were accepted, Arvita! And tomorrow you can work as secretary to Mr. Armand in this EG group. Congratulations, Arvita. I'm so glad Rani recommended you. I'm so lucky you came." Hidayat shook Arvita's hand vigorously while she was still confused.

How did she get hired, and Armand would accept her to work with him??

Arvita's journey home was much more tiring than her departure. The train was packed with passengers.

Coupled with the many questions and assumptions that Arvita made and explained herself.

Finally, Arvita could not understand that Armand would become her official boss.

"What will happen next?"

"What if he's playing with me?"

"Has he gone CRAZY, or did he too INTELLIGENTLY accept me as his secretary?"

"Since when did he become a CEO?"

"WHO HE REALLY IS?"

And many questions keep popping up in her head.

At the time, Arvita arrived quite late, walking limp, tired, and lethargic. She even dragged her bag when she entered the yard.

Arvita realized some sandals and shoes she didn't recognize at the entrance. She also faintly heard the conversations of many people from inside the house.

"There's a guest? Mom, I'm home. What the hell..."

"Arvita, you're finally home." Rohimah was aware of her daughter's return and immediately embraced Arvita, knowing that Arvita had turned her body to take a thousand steps.

"You can't go anywhere," Rohimah said slowly and strengthened her shoulder grip.

"Eh... mom? I thought that no one was at home. After all, it looks pretty quiet." Arvita tried to quibble and winced in pain, with her mother still holding on to her grip.

Like it or not, Arvita stepped heavily to enter the house. She had completely forgotten about this matchmaking plan.

But something made her mind distracted when she saw someone he seemed to know.

A bespectacled man she once met and helped her this morning. The man also showed the same reaction when he saw Arvita had just arrived.

"You..?!" they said at the same time.
