Billionaire's Fake Bride

Melvin Williams and Katherine Walker have been inseparable, navigating life's ups and downs since birth. Their bond seems unbreakable until a misunderstanding throws everything into chaos. When Melvin proudly shows Katherine the engagement ring he bought for his girlfriend during a dinner at a bustling restaurant, onlookers jump to the wrong conclusion, believing he's proposed to Katherine. The news spreads like wildfire, and the best friends are suddenly thrust into the spotlight as an engaged couple. Rather than correct the mistake and risk embarrassing themselves and their families, Melvin and Katherine hatch a daring plan: they'll go along with the fake engagement, enjoying the charade and planning an explosive, staged breakup at an upcoming family function. As they dive deeper into their ruse, navigating a whirlwind of congratulations and wedding plans, they must confront their feelings and the boundaries of their friendship. What begins as a simple deception becomes a test of their loyalty and love, leading to a climax no one sees coming.

The boyfriend

Melvin and Alanie are in the seat next to me. Leo, Brie, Leo's girlfriend, and Leo's parents are on the opposite side of Alanie. Taylor, Walden, Mom, and Dad are also present.

French toast, waffles, pancakes, bacon, and eggs are on the table. Breakfast is served. Additionally, there is a bottle of water, butter, knives, and forks and a bottle of maple syrup, jam, vanilla ice cream, chocolate topping, orange juice, tea, coffee, apple juice, and a bottle of apple juice.

After I have picked up a waffle, I place it on my plate. After picking up the spoon that belongs to the ice team, I remember some of it on the waffle and scoop it out. I start eating the waffle once I apply the chocolate topping from the top.

Taylor stares at me in awe. "Is that all you're going to eat?"

Even though I am eating, I begin to respond.

My mother reprimands me for doing that. According to her, it is not ladylike for me to converse while my mouth is full of something.

I gaze at her once I have finished eating the waffle. Taylor is furious whenever I do not respond to him. People are expected to provide him with responses immediately. Should anyone find themselves in a predicament, it is he.

Taylor sneers at me and says, "Nah, uh," holding out his tongue.

I grab a piece of toast and hurl it at him, being quite aggressive. It delivers a blow to the side of his head.

He cries out, "Hey," as he picks up a forkful of scrambled eggs and tosses it towards me. I step out of the way and watch it accidentally hit Melvin in the face.

I find myself chuckling.

The expression on Mom's face as she sees us is one of great surprise.

"Oh, boy." As Mrs. Willaims puts it. "This is not going to have a happy ending.

Without a doubt, it is not. Taylor should not have thrown scrambled eggs.

When Mr. Williams has finished grabbing some food, he places it on a dish. "Sweetheart, let's get going. I prefer to be absent when the food fight begins.

The father also goes and gets some food. He takes Mom's hand. Take a look at your plate. Our meal will be served in the living room.

When Mom and Mrs. Williams have finished eating, they leave the room with our father's plate in their possession.

Brie turns her gaze to Leo. "Should we leave as well?"

Leo shakes his head a little. I don't believe that anything will come out of it.

I take up a piece of egg caught on Melvin's collar and put it in my mouth to eat it. I mutter something in his ear. "It tastes better off you."

It causes Melvin's face to flush. "Don't say things like that to me."

"It's true, though." I placed a hand on his leg. "I would be willing to let you take me to your room if you weren't dating Michelle," she said. Because you already have a girlfriend, I won't bother asking you about it. After pouring myself a glass of orange juice, I consume it individually.

As Melvin's phone begins to ring, he takes it out of his pocket and begins to answer it.

When I look at his screen, I notice the name. Why does she feel the need to call him? "Michelle," asks her. She was having a good time during her photo sessions in Europe.

I am the focus of Melvin's attention. "I have to take this." His finger moves across the screen in a sweeping motion." "Michelle," he says as he opens the door and exits the area behind the building.

I observe him remove the phone from his ear and then press another button on the phone. I continue to watch him doing this.

He turned on the loudspeaker.

"I'll be back." To get to the basement, I stroll.

A door at the opposite end of the basement accesses the decking, where Melvin is currently speaking with Michelle on the phone.

Naturally curious, I would like to listen in on the chat.

I would like to know whether or not Michelle is aware of the billboard that Melvin and I are currently being featured on together.

The phone rings, and Michelle's plaintive voice can be heard above it.

Baby, why are you not going to come here? Michelle said. I want to meet up with you.

I am busy, Melvin.

Not at all, Michelle. You are not. A few of my friends told me you were seen with Katherine. Does it not matter to you that I hate that girl?

Melvin said it makes no difference if you despise her, Michelle. She is an even more admirable individual than you can ever be. It is because of you that Katherine and I are now separated. I am saddened that you ruined my friendship with my closest friend. You have not been harassed in any way by her.

"She is attempting to take you away from me," said Michelle. Melvin, you belong to me. I will do so if I resort to extreme measures to keep you. She yells through the phone.

During that comment, Taylor steps in the door and glances at me specifically.

When I heard what she had to say, my eyes widened.

She is threatening me.

The fact that she took my child away from me is already a problem, but now she wants to take me away from her.

She has not been harmed in any way by that.

As the proverb goes, jealousy is a bitch, and when it comes to Michelle, I am in the line of fire of those who harbor it.

It is Taylor who encircles me with his arms. "Katherine, I will look out for your best interests. I assure you that nothing wrong will ever happen to you.

There is a reason I have faith in my brother. That is the only thing he has ever done for me. Because of this, he is likely participating in some activities related to the agent I saw him with while Melvin was in the hospital.

"I am not yours," Melvin said.

Aside from that, I don't hear anything else because I believe he is preoccupied with her.

I inquire while looking at Taylor. "What's going on?"

He runs his hand through it. "I am unable to inform you. Although it is more secure for you to remain in the dark, I assure you that I will reveal all the information to you when perfect.

In any case.

"I'm going inside." Upon opening the door to the basement, I proceed to return to the direction of the dining room.

When I enter the dining room, I notice Walden conversing with Alanie.

As I enter the room, she seems to be looking at me. "Can we go for a walk?"

While Alanie and I leave the house, I take a waffle from the dish and start eating it. "Sure," I say as I pick it up and eat it.

"I've been dating this guy for a year now, and he's been discussing getting married and starting a family."

A grin appears on my face as I look at you. "That is fantastic. In the future, Mom and Dad will be overjoyed to call themselves grandparents.

And she laughs. "I know you're thrilled about it. I want him to meet our parents, but I want to bring him home with some help.

"So, you want me to be there when he comes to dinner?"

She nods. I also want you to meet him before our parents do. Please give me your approval before I notify our parents.

Taking a seat on the step, I turn my attention to her. Why do you need my approval? At dinner, you can invite anybody you want to be there.

He is holding my hand, Alanie. He goes by the name of Paul Gotti. This person is the younger brother of a Mafia member.

"WHAT?" I let out a yell.

She put her hand over my lips and covered it. "Not so loud." It was during a party that a friend of mine was working that I had the opportunity to meet him. She sneaked me in, and I saw him standing with many men when I looked around. I felt a surge of electricity rush through my body as soon as his eyes settled on me. My feelings for him were instantaneous, but I had to keep them to myself because he was pretty protective of me. He has consented to meet with you.

When it came to keeping a secret, she performed an excellent job.

She is seeking my approval before introducing him to the rest of the family because she knows my brothers will not like this Paul guy.

"When am I meeting the guy?"

"Monday, we should do this at a cafe.
