Chapter 96 Weird Family

Hu'er woke up and saw Jiu Lin at her side. He is reading the report on their health. Hu'er blinks. 'He looks handsome…'

Jiu Lin put down the report and looks at Hu'er. Seeing that she is awake he smiles. She couldn't help but smile too. "Hu'er." She stood up and Jiu Lin helped her. "Your eyes are swelling. I'll go get some ice."

"Water." Hu'er looks at her innocently. Her face looks red, and she is sniffing.

Jiu Lin looks at her worriedly and puts his hands on her forehead. Then, he took her wrist to feel her pulse. "You're sick." Jiu Lin stood up and gave her water.

"Oh," she muttered and drank the water. After that, she put it on the table and looked at Jiu Lin, as if waiting for him to command her.

"I'll call Ke Rin, wait for me okay?" Jiu Lin is worried that she will move around while he is gone. He tucked her in the fur blanket before going down.

Hu'er is just staring at the door, obediently waiting for Jiu Lin.

Not long after, Song Li came with a soup, followed by Ke Rin with his medical box, Xin Hua holding cups of water, and juice and Jiu Lin who was the one who closed the door.

Hu'er wants to sit down so Jiu Lin hurriedly helps her. "I want to eat…" She put her hands on her tummy.

They knew that Hu'er didn't eat anything last night. However, she can't eat too much right now that's why they just cooked soup to pat her stomach.

"I'll take your pulse first." Ke Rin sat down and asked for her wrist.

Her mind is empty the only thing Hu'er knew is that she wants to eat. In order to eat she needs to take a pulse. "Oh…" Hu'er blinks and slowly gave him her wrist.

They are worried. Ke Rin took her pulse and repeated it twice. "Too hot. You're tired and thinking too much. The heart is restless."

"Heart…" Hu'er blinks. She looks at the soup. "I don't want heart… I want soup."

Ke Rin looked at her and sighed. "I'll go and brew medicine. You can let her eat." He stood up and left.

"Eat," Hu'er repeated the last she heard. She looks at Jiu Lin with a shine in her eyes. She got Ke Rin's approval to eat. She should be able to eat.

He looks at her with tender, "Yes, soup." Jiu Lin starts to spoon-feed her.

After eating, Ke Rin asked them to make her drink the medicine. Then went down again. Since Hu'er got sick from thinking about their health, he might as well think how he can help her to make everyone healthy, so she wouldn't think about it anymore.

The three looks at each other. Jiu Lin voluntarily took the medicine and was about to feed it to Hu'er.

Hu'er nose crumpled, one sniff made her turn her head away, "I don't want to."

"You need to drink this so you'll be cured," he gently explained.

Hu'er slowly pushes the bowl away from her. "It smells bad." She looks at Jiu Lin, wronged.

"How about I'll cover your nose, so you can't smell it?" Song Li suggested.

Hu'er thought about it. Cover her nose and she didn't smell the medicine. Her eyes shine and look at Song Li.

"Take it away so you can breathe." Song Li stops Hu'er from pinching her nose.

She then has another problem, "But what if the taste is also bad?"

The three look at each other. Didn't know what to say. Xin Hua looks away. "I'll call Shun Su," he muttered and ran away.

Song Li gulped and lied to her, "It isn't. You just need to swallow it."

Hu'er looks like she is hesitating. She pursed her lips and said, "...Okay."

"Drink it immediately. Don't spill," Jiu Lin reminded her and at the same time warned her not to spill the medicine.

Sing helped her pinch her nose. Jiu Lin made her drink the medicine. Hu'er remembered Jiu Lin's words and didn't spill anything and swallow it. After the bowl went away, Hu'er wailed. Her tongue is out, wanting to wipe it, but they stopped her.

Song Li looks helpless, "Drink the juice so the taste will go away."

Hu'er glared at him. She remembered that it was Song Li who told her that it wasn't bad. "No! You are a liar!"

Jiu Hu who just came to their house heard the Hu'er crying so he rushed up. There he saw Hu'er's face full of tears, she looks so pale. "What happened?"

"Dad, I made her drink medicine," Jiu Lin explained. His eyes are full of helplessness.

Jiu Hu immediately felt her temperature. Wipe her tears and feel her pulse, "Hu'er is sick."

Hu'er heard him and said, "Yes." She's nodding at him eagerly. Jiu Hu's eyes softened and Hu'er feels that she have a backer now. "They lied… I don't want my tongue anymore." She put her tongue out.

Jiu Hu could see residual medicine on it, he understood, "You can't give it away. That's yours. Drink this, it will be gone."

Hu'er pouts, "You won't lie?"

He coaxed her and touched her hair. "Dada doesn't lie."

Hu'er thought about it and said, "Promise?"

Jiu Hu chuckled and said, "Promise."

Hu'er is really the same as his mate. Hu'er's mother rarely got sick but one time she got sick for thinking too much when most of them went to fight wild animals. He got sick and acted like a baby after they came back.

She took the cup and drank it. Clicking her tongue, "Dada, didn't lie…" Hu'er yawned.

Tapping her head. "Yes. Now, go to sleep. Dada will be here and guard you." He tucked her in.

Hu'er hummed and closed her eyes.

"Dad…" Jiu Lin looks at Jiu Hu.

"The heat went to her brain, that's why she's acting like that. It will be fine after a few days." Looking at the window, he ordered them, "Tell Old Lady that Hu'er is sick. Won't be able to attend lessons."
