Dracel was standing in front of everyone, they stood a circle around her and a big fire was litted in the middle, all eyes fell on her, she watched them as they said some incantations with their mouth syncing together.

The clan cheif held up a bowl and walked a circle around her as he repeated the same words. Dracel just stood like a frozen statue, the human scent that clouded her whole senses tormented her that she had to squeeze her dress into her palm.

Be gone foul spirit, be gone, let no one who's not among our kind bring us trouble, the clan chief said and sprinkled water on her. Be gone! He shouted, and everyone went silent and continued.

Both old and young were standing and from their number one could tell it was a small community of families.

Dracel swallowed hard, the uneasy feeling came again, she could sense it, her urge for blood died immediately and she started panicking and sniffing at the same time.

She is not alone! The chief shouted and everyone stopped chanting. She can't be one of us, she will bring trouble and confusion amongst our midst.

No.... No.... Rapheal mother said shaking her head while the others gasped followed by mummuring.

Dracel couldn't hold it anymore, she felt a urge to warn the people so she took a deep breath and spoke out in a loud voice.

There's danger awaiting everyone here, these rituals and all these are not necessary...

How dare you speak! An elder who was sitted shouted to silence her.

No you listen to me! She shouted back, again in surprise the crowd gasped because of her disrespect.

I've seen the fate of this clan,she continued, if I was here or not, either ways there will be blood and tears, death is looming over the head of everyone here, and the feeling is like it's happening now!

After her last statement a cry came from the back which diverted everyone's attention, then multiple cries came up, the crowd started dispersing and there was a uproar. A sudden anger rose up in Dracel and she found herself ready to attack but she got confused when she saw the opposers were in human flesh but they were different in colour with different scent.

They only harmed the person on their way, they didn't go chasing after the ones that seeked refuge and they walked gently but something felt different about them, their skin was pale. before Dracel could make any move a figure obstructed her. She looked closely and saw Rapheal standing at her front, she wondered what he was doing as he was defenseless against them.

Step away boy, a red haired man said as he came close to Dracel.

You'll have to go through me then, he said readying his fist for a fight holding up a litted wood.

Leave my children alone! Rapheal's mother voice came crying, she hit the red haired man with a stick on his neck and he turned to see who had hit him.

He took a petty look at the mere lady that had hit him and was overwhelmed with anger, his elongated fangs came out and he dived the poor lady without warning into his mouth and dropped her like dried wood. Rapheal went mad and so did his father and some other villagers, a fight immediately broke out and Dracel was left in confusion.

Rapheal who was heading for the man who had just ended his mother's life was given a deep cut by the sharp fingers of the opposers making him to stop and watch his stomach bleed. Dracel who was in confusion quickly dragged him by the hand and made for escape.

What are you doing! He shouted holding his stomach, the litted wood had fallen off his hands.

Saving your life! We have to run, she said and dashed into the dark.

My people are there, my town needs me ...

You will only end up dieing! She shouted and increased her speed, unknowingly to her she was running faster than a human could and Rapheal couldn't feel his legs touching the ground.

Dra....Dracel, he tried calling her despite the plenty of oxygen rushing over his face, the speed was too much that he tasted blood coming from his mouth but they suddenly stopped.

In front of them stood the red haired man and some other people, same people who had attacked his village, Rapheal was weak to his knees because he was loosing blood.

What do you want! Dracel shouted panting heavily looking from side to side.

We don't want anything but want to clear an abomination and everything that associates with it. You will have to submit yourself and that human by your side.

Stay away from me, she said fuming with anger and ready to attack still having a firm hold on Rapheal.

Or else what? One of them asked teasingly.

Without warning she had drew near to a side and pulled off the head of an individual standing close to her side, a beastly form of her was immediately activated and fear gripped everyone apart from the red haired man.

Is that all you've got? He asked without been fazed.

You don't know what I'm capable of, she said with her voice sounding like that of two, but a twist happened immediately, it was quick that Rapheal didn't see it but Dracel saw it all happen.

What just happened, he said breathing fast.

Hurry, she said without answerig his question, let's get out of here and get you treated.

Where did they go, where are we, he questioned despite not seeing in the dark.

I can see very clearly just trust me, she said clearing the doubts in his head. Hold on to me, she said placing him on her shoulder and immediately they started running.

Rapheal was surprised by how much strength the girl held, while she spoke her eyes glowed a bit of red light. She was more like a man in a lady's body and her appearance was only a facade. With time he started feeling weak, he could only allow his hands dangle and he knew life was running out of him.

Rapheal! Rapheal! Dracel shouted as she felt the energy within him fading out from him. She stopped and placed him on the ground, he was becoming pale and was breathing lightly.

How....how do you do it? He said forcing the words out of his mouth. He saw Dracel sobbing and trying to stop the bleeding, he smiled. I'm dying, he said in between his teeth.

No no you won't die, she said tearing a part of her dress to cover up his wound.

He held her hand to stop her and they both locked eyes. It's ...of ..no use, he said, you saw it and it's not inevitable he managed to say but the next reaction from Dracel shocked him.

What are you doing! He shouted with the little strength in him as her teeth dug into his skin.

Trying to save you, she said and dug her teeth into his skin, he was too weak to shout, but he later stopped responding and was still. Dracel froze the second she knew he had blanked out.

No no no, she said shaking him, wake up! Wake up Rapheal! Rapheal wake up! She shouted and jerked him. Please please don't do this to me, I will find someone to treat you please don't leave me, she said shouting.

Rapheal! She shouted and brought down her head in pain.

The clouds were in alignment with her emotions and rain began to fall, she sobbed in the rain, since her eyes couldn't produce the tears she wanted the skies help her to mourn her friend.

Different memories came flooding her head, these visions are curses, she thought, she thought she could prevent him from dieing but she couldn't tell it to him, maybe if she had told him she saw his death he might have survived she thought. She felt weak in her bones not willing to run again, she covered his eyes with her hand but it refused to shut, she picked up mud from the ground and covered him.

Again a vision came as her hand touched his chest and she fell into a trance. She walked out of a door and met blooming flower, suddenly they all withered and became feirce, ready to attack her, she ran for her life but the flowers followed her and pulled her into their hold, followed by a loud scream, she woke up.
