Chapter 6: Exploring Space Engineers Resources and Destiny 2 Ghost Encounter

Wei woke up early, the sound of the wind carrying metallic particles whistling around the improvised capsule. His temporary base was simple but effective. He stretched, feeling the lingering soreness from previous battles.

"Time to start the day..." he murmured, opening his personal menu on the HUD.

Wei was particularly intrigued by the new technology related to Space Engineers. The idea of building an automated platform could simplify resource collection and expand his crafting options.

"The problem is, there's always a 'but.' I'm sure finding the materials for this is going to be a headache."

He closed the menu and mounted his hoverbike, ready to begin his exploration.

Scavenging the Junkyard

Wei headed toward an area of the shipyard that resembled an industrial component depot. Massive plates of heavy metal were stacked like crumbling buildings, and broken robotic cranes formed a labyrinth of scrap.

Using his analysis ability, he began sifting through the piles of junk.

After nearly an hour of searching, he finally found the core needed to construct the Automated Construction Platform: a central panel still functional, faint energy lines flickering across its surface.

Wei grinned, satisfied. With all the materials gathered, he opened the construction menu and selected the platform. As before, a blue light glowed as the system assembled the parts.

He installed the platform next to his temporary base. The machine began working immediately, gathering smaller pieces from the surroundings and processing them into usable materials.

"This is going to save a lot of time."

With the platform operational, Wei felt more confident. But before he could rest, the HUD blinked with a new notification.

New Mission: The Ghost Fragment

Description: An unusual signal has been detected 2.3 km from the base. The energy signature is similar to that of a Destiny 2 Ghost. Investigate the source of the signal.

Wei knew ignoring the signal wasn't an option. Any Destiny 2 technology could be incredibly powerful — and he needed every advantage he could get.

The Ghost Fragment

Guided by the map on the HUD, Wei rode his hoverbike to a deep valley surrounded by towering mountains of junk. The area was eerily quiet, except for the occasional sound of debris collapsing. At the center of the valley, he found a small, spherical structure partially buried.

He approached cautiously. The structure began to emit a pulsing light, and a small device emerged from within. It was a Ghost — or at least something resembling one.

Item Identified: Ghost Fragment (Destiny 2)

Description: A partially functional AI core. Can be activated with sufficient energy to provide tactical support and system expansion.

Before he could interact with the Ghost, a familiar sound echoed through the valley: combat droids. Three of them, armed with blasters and retractable blades, emerged from the shadows.

Models: Advanced Defense Droids (Star Wars Outlaws)

Level: 4

Wei quickly took cover behind a pile of debris. He knew these droids were tougher than the ones he'd faced before.

He opened the menu and noticed a new option unlocked, thanks to the Ghost core.

With the resources already in his inventory, he crafted the grenade in seconds. Stepping out of cover, he threw the device at the group of droids.

The explosion sent out an electric shockwave, temporarily disabling two of the enemies. Wei seized the opportunity, firing his blaster to destroy the two stunned droids before they could recover. The remaining droid charged at him, but Wei used his energized knife to pierce its core directly, shutting it down.

With the area secure, Wei turned his attention back to the Ghost. He inserted one of the advanced circuits he had collected to reactivate the device.

The Ghost began to hover, its blue light flickering as it spoke:

"Initialization complete. Analyzing... Identity detected. You require assistance."

Wei smiled, both surprised and relieved. "Looks like you're going to be useful."

With the Ghost now part of his team and the automated platform up and running, Wei felt he was finally making real progress. He knew many challenges lay ahead, but he also realized he was steadily growing stronger.

"If I keep this up, I'll turn this junk planet into my personal empire."
