Chapter 16: Sweet Lies or Bitter Truth

P.O.V Leonard

I peeked inside the room and found her sleeping. Silently tiptoeing inside, I went towards the bed. My mind was thinking about all the nonsense in the world, and I didn't want to shake it away.

I sat on the other side of the bed. Suddenly, her body tensed.

'Is she pretending to be asleep?' I slowly put my legs up and shifted towards her. Her back was facing me.

'It's like, I'm a demon trying to eat her,' I thought and bit my lip to stop the chuckle. Slowly moving closer, I lightly placed my hand on her bare shoulder. She quivered, making me bite my lower lip even harder to stop laughing loudly.

When I managed to stop my internal laugh, I went onto the second round of laughing. I trailed my hand slowly, and by slowly, I mean like a snail. Maybe even slower. Trailing the back of my hand on her arm, it reached her elbow.
