"Welcome Chairman Ems." Cale Hunt the CEO went over to welcome the Chairman.
"Hmm, doesn't Mr. Hunt have things to do this morning?" The Chairman stared coldly at Cale before walking to her office.
"Get my coffee," were the last words they heard before the Chairman's office door closed.
"Yes, ma'am," Cheryl's assistant, who was also her secretary, answered quickly, glancing at Cheryl.
Although the Chairman was a billionaire, she didn't like cramped environments. That's why Cheryl's assistant got to be the secretary."
"You guys know what to do," Cale Hunt said as he quickly headed to his own floor using the elevator, beckoning his assistant to follow. He didn't want to be used as an example by the Chairman.
Cheryl stared at the CEO in disbelief as he made his way to the elevator. She had hoped he could lighten the Chairman's mood, but he seemed equally scared. She could only turn her attention back to her assistant.
"Get the Chairman a creamy coffee with less sugar. Also, make sure the schedule is organized before going in," Cheryl told her assistant, Alfred Burton, before making her way to her office.
As a personal assistant, Cheryl had her own large office with exquisite interior design. The door and walls were transparent, allowing those outside to see her. However, she could change this using an AI-controlled remote. Cheryl could either adjust it so she could see out while others couldn't see in clearly, or she could turn the walls a darker color with a double tap.
In the center of the room was her glass desk with a computer system on it, and a CCTV monitor beside it to check what was happening outside if she chose to use the dark mode on her door and walls. In one corner, a bookshelf mounted to the wall held books and important files."
Glancing through the pile of files on her desk and the Chairman's schedule, she muttered to herself, "We won't leave early today."
Cheryl could only sigh as she started with her work.

Entering a nearby room, Alfred noticed the neatly arranged sofas and coffee table. He headed towards the kitchen, recalling the Chairman's preferred coffee.
If there was anything he remembered from his training, it was that the Chairman despised tardiness and vagueness. Alfred approached the glass shelf reserved exclusively for the Chairman, carefully selecting a dark mug and preparing the coffee.
Balancing the coffee carefully, Alfred left the room, ensuring he grabbed his iPad before heading towards the Chairman's office.
The room he exited was the staff lounge. The Chairman's staffs office design was impressively chosen. As an assistant-secretary, Alfred had his own office styled similarly to Miss Nesby's. The only distinction was his inability to switch to a dark mode, given his role. Nevertheless, he found the office interior comfortable, to say the least.
As Alfred reached the Chairman's door, he hesitated over whether to knock. Before he could decide, it swung open, accompanied by a stern voice.
"Get in." As he entered, he was struck by the office interior. It bore no resemblance to their usual office or the CEO's, exuding an aura of royalty and coldness. Even the figure behind the desk, accompanied by her dog, emanated a chilling presence.
Alfred froze as the Chairman's pet rose and began to circle him, reminiscent of a predator stalking its prey. His body trembled violently as he realized the animal was not a Samoyed, but a snow wolf.
"Come over," Alfred heard the Chairman say softly to the wolf. The pet quickly approached the Chairman. Alfred watched as the animal nuzzled against the Chairman's thighs, It was a stark contrast from its earlier predatory demeanor.
He could only breathe a sigh of relief as he made his way over the Chairman's desk.
"Madam, your coffee," Alfred said, his hands trembling under the watchful gaze of the Chairman's pet. With a concerted effort, he steadied himself, ensuring the coffee was placed on the desk without spilling a drop.
"Schedule," the Chairman said, her gaze shifting from the coffee to Alfred before taking a sip.
"Ma'am, you have a meeting with the heads of the creative unit at 10 am, followed by a lunch meeting with the Italian investor at noon. After that, there's a transnational video conference with high-level executives in Switzerland at 2 pm, and a meeting with the contractors at 2:30 pm," Alfred briefed the Chairman on her schedule for the day.
"You also have another meeting at...."He continued giving her a rundown of her schedule.
"Is that all?" The Chairman asked
"Yes Ma."
"Get me Miss Nesby."
"Okay, ma'am," Alfred replied, swiftly making his way to the door, which opened promptly.
As he emerged, he wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. If anyone had told him a woman could exude such an oppressive aura, he wouldn't have believed it.
"Miss Nesby, the Chairman needs you," he quickly conveyed upon entering Cheryl Nesby's office.
"Ok, take those files. You know what to do."
Approaching the Chairman's office, the door opened as Cheryl made her way to the Chairman's desk.
"Ma.."
"Sit." Chairman Ems motioned to Cheryl, who sat opposite her.
"Ensure Cale attends the meetings from 2:30 pm to 4 pm; there are three important ones scheduled. I'm uncertain about his availability, but I expect detailed reports from each meeting. These documents will assist him," the Chairman stated, handing the papers to Cheryl.
"Yes Ma." Cheryl immediately took the documents from the Chairman.
"Additionally, you would join me for meetings at 10am and 12pm, as well as those scheduled from 5pm to 7pm." The Chairman continued.
"Okay, Ma." Today marked the Chairman's first appearance at Makdews, and Cheryl knew she would work overtime. She could only hope someone would come to rescue them from this workaholic boss.
"You may go," the Chairman dismissed Cheryl, as she returned to her work on the computer system.
Leaving the Chairman's office and heading towards her own, Cheryl tried to catch up on some work before the meeting started.
"Alfred, come to my office," Cheryl instructed her assistant over the intercom, while reviewing the documents required for today's meetings.
"Ma you called me." Alfred said getting her attention from the files.
'That was fast.' Cheryl thought to herself.
"Listen, book the best Italian restaurant for our meeting at 12 pm. Also, ensure these files reach the CEO's personal assistant by 10 am, informing him of the meeting. The CEO's attendance is mandatory. Do you understand?"
"Yes Ma."
"Is there anything else?" Cheryl inquired when she noticed her assistant attempting to speak.
"Ma'am if I may ask, why book an Italian restaurant when Mr. Nalo has already declined our offer?" Alfred asked, looking perplexed.
Cheryl was puzzled by the Chairman's insistence on meeting with Mr. Nalo, despite his rejection of her offer. Nonetheless, she understood the importance of maintaining her composure.
"If you want an answer, I suggest you ask the Chairman," Cheryl said, raising an eyebrow. "So, do you want an answer?"
Chills ran down Alfred's spine the moment he heard her words. "No, Ma, I'm sorry for intruding."
"Good, leave." Cheryl dismissed him to focus on the files before her.
Alfred quickly made his way out of her office, attending to the assignments given to him.

'Over at the CEO'S office'
As the door to his office swung open, Cale Hunt raised his head to see who had entered without knocking. It was Gary Stone, his assistant. Without skipping a beat, Cale returned to the documents spread out before him. "What's the matter?"
"CEO Hunt, your schedule for the day," Gary said, glancing at his boss for permission to proceed.
"Go on."
"In an hour, there's a meeting with the heads of the creative unit," his assistant continued, providing him with a rundown of his calendar.
Cale took another glance at the documents in his hands before turning to his assistant. "I hope they present a reliable product for use. If not..."
"CEO Hunt rest assured that the creative unit presentation would be satisfactory." His assistant interjected, advocating for the heads of the creative unit.
"Prepare the remaining files for the meeting after this one." Cale instructed
"Okay Sir." Gary said as he left, leaving Cale to continue his work.
