Xavier felt oddly displeased and for the first time, he knew why. That pretty female was jumping around with that vulture and her other mates stood with a smile on their faces. How could they share her so easily? That was a question he recently pondered about. His upbringing in the beast world had taught him the importance of females and the need for them to have multiple males. It was nothing new for him but that kind of notion has recently started to make him vexed, angry, and irritated.

He was not interested in having a mate for himself but his tribe needed a Queen so even if it was for duty, he must take a female and produce heirs. He must do that but...the only one that came to his mind whenever he thought of placing on the Queen's seat was that Pretty female. He hated to admit it but he was indeed attracted to her.
