Chapter 27: Asai

"Tahara, can I handle Misa on my own?" Asai asked.

"But she's..." Tahara said as he paused and saw the look on Asai's face.

"I understand, but don't die on me," Tahara said to her and left.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't my good old best friend Asai," Misa said as she jumped down from the line and dust surrounded her.

"I don't know why you decided to join the Guild of Teal Arms but I won't show you any mercy," Asai said to her long-time best friend.

"I'm not fighting with you," Misa said.

Misa then removed from her pocket 7 stones.

Misa then dropped all 7 stones on the ground and the whole place began to shake.

One of the elders felt the presence and then gasped then used his staff as a barrier.

"Is she serious about this?" the elder asked.

"Master! Master! What's that?" Kunimichi asked.

"That's the dark souls," the elder replied as sweat was running down his face.

"The dark souls! Why is she using it so early?" Tahara asked.

"It seems they used the dark souls so early, do they have a lead?" the elder questioned himself.

After their transformation was complete, one of the dark souls hit the barrier it shattered completely and the elder fell to the ground.

"Master!" Kunimichi said as he helped the elder get up on his feet.

"Who are those?" Miyaguchi asked.

"That's,

Aldhere, Counselor of the Blind;

Burchard, Lord of Smoke;

Grieving Divinity Gudram;

Enchanted Priest Bryning;

Eternal Divinity Baldwin;

Berthun, Wicked Priest of Fear; and

Oswin, Deaf Baron of Prisons," the elder said.

They existed in the demon realm era after Saido Kado was gone.

Misa stood in front of the dark souls and then instructed them to kill Tahara Kado and his group and capture Miyaguchi.

The 7 dark souls obeyed as they bowed their heads to Misa and then rushed toward them.

Suddenly a message appeared on the screen and Tahara looked at him

"What the heck," Tahara said as the dark souls were racing towards him.

Tahara then called out his swords Sweeper and Keeper as he was ready to attack the first dark soul, Burchard, Lord of Smoke.

As soon as Tahara's swords appeared before his hand, Burchard disappeared from Tahara's sight.

Wha...

"Where did he go?" Tahara asked.

Tahara sense then noticed Burchard behind him as he was about to use his sword to pierce the neck of Burchard but then dodged.

"He's fast," Tahara said.

"No, that's not it, Burchard is the Lord of Smoke so he can appear and disappear anything," Tahara explained.

Burchard raised his spear ready to stab Tahara again but then Tahara blocked his attack with his swords but lost his balance as the spear cut Tahara's wrist.

"This guy is strong," Tahara complimented as he looked at the blood coming out from his wrist.

"He's stronger than all the other beasts and humans that I've faced," he said.

Tahara pushed Burchard away as he was about to stab him and then he vanished.

"This guy is not going to be easy," Tahara said.

Meanwhile...

Asai was busily battling Berthun, Wicked Priest of Fear and then one of the Rank C swordsmen came to assist Asai.

"I'll handle this fella, you go after Misa," the C-Rank swordsman said to her. Asai thanked the swordsman as she raced toward Misa.

"Misa!" Asai yelled.

"So you came back huh," Misa said and smiled

Asai then raced toward Misa as he raised her sword ready to attack Misa.

Misa smiled as a bundle of chains appeared from beneath the ground.

Asai noticed them early and retreated.

"You have good eyesight Asai, but it won't be for long," Misa said as she used her magic to control the chains.

Asai used her sword to block the Misa's attack.

"You can't defeat me, Asai," Misa yelled.

The chains then raced towards Asai as she was using her sword to deflect the chains.

Misa stood there laughing as she was directing the chains and then Misa raised her head and noticed some falling from the sky. She looked closely and noticed it was a sword aiming at her. Asai moved out of the way as the sword struck the ground and the place exploded.

The chains then disappeared as Asai raced towards Misa.

"What the..." she said as she turned to look for Asai. Misa raised her head and noticed Asai above her. Asai caught Misa's head with her thighs and threw her to the ground.

Asai smiled as she descended and then took out her sword from the ground which was close to her.

Misa got up from her feet and then touched her lips and noticed a small amount of blood.

"Only that for a drop of blood," she said.

Misa pointed her palms at Asai as another group of chains appeared. Asai tried to dodge this time around but then one of the chains got hold of her leg. Misa then released another chain in the air and was about to hit Asai when an axe out of nowhere struck the ground where Asai was and then the chains disappeared.

"Dammit! That axe guy," Misa said as she clutched her fist.

Asai dashed toward Misa and then punched her in the face as she hit wooden buildings.

"Your fight is with me not him," she said as she shook her hand.

"Damn, what is her cheek made up of," she said. Misa was lying on the ground when her master began to communicate with her through telepathy.

"Do you want to lose," a voice said.

Misa responded.

"Then this is your chance to release it," the voice said.

Misa smiled and suddenly the place began to shake violently.

"What's this?" Asai asked.

Misa rose in the air as his eyes were all white and stared at Asai. Asai smiled as she jumped in the air to meet Asai. Misa swiped her hand to the left as the chain pierced Asai's stomach and then she fell to the ground.

Misa swiped her hand upwards as a chain appeared from beneath the ground Asai managed to block her attack but Misa pointed her hand downwards as the chains pierced Asai on her back and then slapped her back as she hit the ground hard. Misa then used her hand to do some signs and a group of chains bound Asai.

"I warned you not to fight me," Misa told Asai.

"Misa you need to snap out of your senses, you are being controlled," Asai said to her.

"Controlled!" Misa repeated and held her head in pain.

"You know what to do, finish her," the voice let out.

Misa then placed her hand on Asai's stomach as the chain pierced her and she coughed out blood.

"Misa, I've always wanted to be strong, just like you when we were once little," Asai said to her.

"Kill her Misa," the voice said to her.

"Why did you turn to the evil side Misa?" Asai asked.

Shut up!

"We were best friends, no even more than best friends," Asai said to her.

Shut up!

"I love you Misa," Asai let out and Misa clenched her fist as the chains covered her whole body.

Blood was seen dripping from the chains and Misa released her hand as Asai's body was falling from the ground.

"I hate you!" Misa said.

"You are not a worthy opponent," she said.

Marris noticed something falling from the sky that took the shape of a human. Marris imbued magic in his legs and jumped up and caught the body. He looked at it and noticed that it was Asai who had died and was falling from the sky.

Marris landed on the ground and shook Asai several times.

Everyone came in Marris's direction and saw him with a body.

"What's wrong," Kunimichi asked.

Marris got up and showed Asai's dead body to everyone.

"That's impossible! Asai can't die easily like that. She promised me that she would return," Tahara said.

Marris placed Asai's dead body on the ground and the elder walked to the body.

The elder bent down and Asai's dead body.

"You were like a daughter to me," the elder as he closed Asai's eyes.

When the elder rose, and then the aura around him began to change.

Even Miss who was from a distance could feel the tremendous aura emitting from the elder.

"You have crossed the line Dokuro Misa," the elder said as his aura expanded and the buildings around were collapsing.

Misa used her magic to create a barrier but it shattered into pieces.

"Master!" Kunimichi yelled.

The elder took his staff and it took the shape of a sword.

"This is the old man's aura," Tahara said.

"Is it that stronger than the dark souls itself," he continued.

"Was he even the one who captured the DarkSoulss?" Tahara questioned himself.

"Dokuro Misa, here I come," he said as he dashed towards her.
