While Tian Shi was enjoying his restful sleep he didn't know that outside his store was a different story altogether.
The suddenly appearing store that has been built seemingly instantly immediately attracted attention from everyone on the main street.
Fortunately, or maybe unfortunately the City guards that were on patrol saw the new situation so while one of them went on to inform the City Lord the others decided to control the situation and not allow anybody to approach the mysterious building while the higher-ups made the decision of what to do. It was fortunate that the mysterious building appeared near one of the major city areas and as such it wasn't far from the City Lords Mansion, if it was near the city wall it could be that the authorities wouldn't even notice the situation.
It was only 3 hours later that a team of people was prepared to enter the mysterious building and explore the situation. It could have taken longer but the City Lord wasn't informed of the situation and one of his advisors took over in his stead to command the situation and prepared a team of a few bronze rank fighters along with one silver rank fighter to assess the situation and determine if it is even required for the City Lord to take notice.
Yin Doushi was a silver rank fighter of the third stage and was to be the team leader and explore the situation of the mysterious building alongside his team which consisted of 9 bronze rank fighters.
As soon as he entered, he was prepared for anything and was ready to fight at any moment. Instead of a fight, he was welcomed by a bright wall of text that assaulted his eyes and from the reaction of his allies they encountered something similar.
[Welcome to the All-Heavens Store]
[It is recommended to see the [Rules] section before beginning your shopping]
[Rules]
[Map]
[Cart]
This was what was written on the scroll that appeared before his eyes. Although this was the first time, he has seen the language he still understood what it was trying to convey. And looking over the text another time he doesn't think that it is a language from ancient times at least he doesn't think so maybe an expert could tell but he wasn't interested in ancient books during his time at Holy Orchid Institute.
It looked like it wasn't dangerous but even so, he wasn't willing to touch something that he doesn't know anything about, so he inquired with his allies to see if they also see the same thing he does, after confirming that he was correct he commanded one of his subordinates to check what was written in the [Rules] section.
The subordinate tried to access the [Rules] section and told them that it was easy and he only had to think about it and the scroll would present him with a list of rules, after that, he read the rules out loud.
The rules weren't anything complicated and were the standard rules that could be found in any other large Store in Glory City. The standard no fighting, no stealing, and other rules that were common.
What was weird was that there were other rules that were weird and made no sense. Something about how special purchases could only be negotiated with the Store Owner and how the Store would ensure that the transaction would be possible.
But all the other Rules were nothing special, but the fact that the store had a store owner implied that the place wasn't any kind of secret realm. What was terrifying was that a person could do this kind of thing in broad daylight with no one noticing.
How strong would a person have to be to enter the village and create such a store in an instant?
After mostly ensuring that the scroll was safe to use he and his team moved on to the other sections.
He personally moved on to the [Cart] section. After that, he was introduced to what the [Cart] is and how to use it. You could select things and place them in your [Cart] and then when you finish shopping you can pay and then everything that was in your cart would be your possession.
But after getting familiar with the [Cart], he saw some of the people that selected the [Map] disappearing from his side. He panicked immediately and shouted what happened.
He was able to calm down after getting an answer from one of his subordinates about how they most likely used the [Fast travel] function in the [Map] section.
Then he also used the [Map] function to see for himself.
When he opened the [Map] he was stunned to see how large the store was, maybe this was a secret realm after all as he had no idea how you could fit such a large place in such a small building.
From the outside, the building looked a bit larger than a yin(32m) in size, but from the inside, if the [Map] was correct it was several li(576m) large.
And that is not even talking about what was available in the store he saw.
The [Map] showed that the store was divided into large sections, he was currently in the [Entrance/Exit] section, but there were others such as [Pills], [Cultivation Techniques], [Inscription Patterns], [Edibles], [Weapons] and that was from only taking a look at some of the available options.
He thought about it for a while and finally decided that they are mostly safe, he knows that such strong experts wouldn't attack juniors for no reason, but even so, he sent one of his subroutines outside the Store so that even if they would somehow perish inside the Store there would still be someone that could inform the City Lord of the situation.
As for himself, he was interested to see what would happen if he buys something, so after giving his subordinates permission to explore he himself used the travel function to see what kind of Pills he could find in the [Pills] section.
After going to the section, he was baffled to see how cheap most of the pills were, he was no expert but even he could tell that most of them were severely underpriced.
He has only eaten body refining pills and he can tell that the price is almost two times lower than what the Alchemy Association sells them for.
He added a few of them to his [Cart] before commanding the scroll to check out. After that, the scroll showed him that he could pay. What was weird is that the scroll showed him multiple options for paying.
He was curious and so decided to see what he could pay with. The first few options were normal such as gold or other ancient currencies and even some that he had no idea of but as he looked through more options, he was becoming more and more terrified.
There were options to buy things with his lifespan, cultivation realm, stamina, soul force(temporary), soul force(permanent), knowledge, and even freedom.
He had only read a few of the options but he was already terrified. Especially the last one if the description didn't lie you could sell your own freedom to the store and sell yourself into slavery and be at the mercy of the Store and the Store Owner.
He selected the normal option of Demon Spirit Coins and finished his purchase, but after that, he went back to the [Entrance/Exit] he had to report to the City Lord about the abilities of this mysterious Store owner.
