Chapter 23: Han Min-Jun’s Invention

Three days later passed and we were finally able to create Han Min-Jun's idea! It took us a lot off effort and clumsiness to do it. When Han Min-Jun helped me in carrying the woods and metals I thought it was alright but the second I turned around I heard a loud 'Thud' followed by Han Min-Jun who fell to the ground as his glasses were unbalanced, it was a funny and unforgettable scene….

As for my promise to Ethan…I did tell him about the plan, the plan on how to overturn his father Nathan Baron, and how to conquer the Baron Family. It's actually simple really, all we have to do is--

--To start a rebellion against Nathan Baron.

At first Ethan was opposed to the plan and I just shrugged my shoulders and said "It's your choice. I'll give you another day to think about it carefully" and after a day, he reluctantly agreed. The reason why I'm helping him is because I need access to the the library of nobles as well as their laboratory, but actually there's a deeper reason for my decision.

On September 17, 19XX, a grand ball will be held by the empire of the Arcane country and only nobles along with their friends can enter, even if it is a [Guide] if it is not a friend of a noble or invited by the King then they will not be allowed to enter still.

Back to the present, I stood before a giant wooden mechanic that was mixed with both woods and metals and couldn't help feeling satisfied as I saw the result, especially Han Min-Jun himself, the corner of his eyes were slightly red and I can see that he is on the verge of crying. Patting his shoulders I said "There there, you don't have to cry over something like this"

Han Min-Jun sniffed and said "No…it's just, it's the first time I'm able to create something with my own hands" I narrowed my eyes with a smile after hearing this and hummed, retracting our hands we looked at the wooden mechanic and couldn't help smiling.

The wooden mechanic Han Min-Jun created has an appearance of a giant capsule that could fit a human in it while beside it are long wooden arms that are covered with metals, along that there is a rectangular whole that can be opened and closed based on the will of the person controlling it from the inside, to put it simply, it is a giant mecha. I grinned as I thought 'This could help very well in the rebellion'

The sound of knocking was then heard and I said "Come in". We heard the door behind us opened along with the sound of 'Thud'. Han Min-Jun was startled while I was confused and we both turned to look at the source of the sound only to see Ethan lying on his butt while his legs trembled, pointing at the mecha he said "T- That's-!"

Han Min-Jun looked back and forth between Ethan and his mecha and said "Oh! This is the wooden mechanic we've been working on, it is called 'Mecha 0.1'!"

"Mecha 0.1?" Ethan murmured and repeated his words before standing up and patting his butt. Then, he asked "What exactly is that?" I smiled at his question and said "It's similar to a wooden vehicle where a person can ride and control it, but, as you can see, it can not only be used for transportation but can also help you in many things"

"Like?" Ethan asked and I said "For example, it can help at lifting things because of it's arms, and-"

"-It can also help with the rebellion" At my words Ethan flinched and looked around abruptly, seeing that there are no signs of any people he heaved a sigh of relief before he said angrily "Oi! Don't say that thing so casually!"

Tilting my head I blinked and feigned ignorance as I asked "Why not?"

"You-!" Ethan was angry but seeing that speaking with me is pointless he sighed helplessly and said "Forget it" I smiled happily but when I remembered something, my smile faded and turned into a frown, seeing the change in my expression Ethan asked cautiously "Is everything alright?"

"Hm? Oh, it's nothing" I replied wryly and turned to the mecha and coughed, then I said "So, how about we try it?"

[Judge "Ares" says "Oooh, this is gonna be exciting!"]

[Judge "Dionysus" ate a grape and said "I agree"]

"R- Really? B- But! There's no telling whether it would work or not…" Han Min-Jun lowered his head and murmured, I smiled and held both his shoulders, forced to look up he stared straight to my eyes before avoiding it as he saw my pure black eyeballs, furrowing my eyebrows I said "Han Min-Jun, are you saying you don't believe in what we have been working for so long?"

"N- No! That's not what I meant-"

"Then prove it!" I said and shook him, Han Min-Jun's eyes glimmered and closing it he took a deep breath before saying "I'll prove it!"

"That's the spirit!" I said before ruffling his hair which made him annoyed and pouted at me, I just laughed at his expression. Ethan on the other hand, stared at this scene and clenched his fist as he smiled bitterly, 'I envy their relationship'

"So then, do you know a perfect place to test this out?" Hearing my question, Ethan raised his head and hummed in reply. Grinning I said "Then what are we waiting for, let's do it!"

'This is it, one of the top 10 inventors had finally created his first ever invention! The mecha!' With that thought I couldn't help grinning until it reached my ears and thought 'As for the others, wait for us you guys, I will also change your fate'

Unbeknownst to me, the mysterious entity called [Judge] "###" was watching the whole scene and knew what I was thinking about that made me frowned, it knows that I am also a [Fallen]. That's why it couldn't help thinking 'How will you change their fate when your fate is--'
