Chapter 24: Han Min-Jun’s Invention’s Test

The next day.

The three of us, Han Min-Jun, Ethan Baron, and I went to a convention. The convention was a giant building that was made out of woods whilst the floor was made out of pure stone. As soon as we entered the convention, we were met with countless of gazes on us, no, to be more precise, on Han Min-Jun's creation, Mecha 0.1 which is being carried on a wagon. I lowered my head and pulled my hood to cover my eyes more.

Just as we were walking towards an area reserved for the Baron Family, I suddenly heard a familiar voice which startled me.

"Zero? Zero!"

I heard the sound of footsteps rushing towards me from behind and I turned to see a familiar face that I hadn't seen for over a week now. It was a female with golden blonde hair and currently she is wearing a crop top and long pants that is similar to Sara.

With widened eyes I muttered "Claire?"

Claire stopped before me and nodded her head and hummed. I asked "What are you doing here? I thought you went to Witchcraft city."

"Well, change of plans, you see, I'm part of the Anderson Family and we were invited by the Chrysanthemum Family to their youngest son debut" Claire explained and I widened her eyes at those words. Han Min-Jun hummed and asked Ethan "Are you also invited?" Ethan nodded his head nonchalantly.

Seeing Ethan and Han Min-Jun by my side Claire gasped and asked "Are you two an acquaintance of Zero?" Ethan was hesitant but still nodded and said "Yes". Han Min-Jun also nodded but said "I'm Zero's apprentice". Claire gasped and looked at me with wide eyes as she said "You already found an apprentice?!"

Smiling awkwardly I hummed and said "This is my apprentice, Han Min-Jun, Han Min-Jun, this is Claire Anderson, a friend of mine" Seeing Claire's black eyeballs, Ethan and Han Min-Jun knew that she was also a [Guide] and nodded respectively. Looking at Claire being alone I asked "What about Azazel?"

"Oh! He left and disembarked at Arcane City" She said and I was stunned, "So fast?" Claire hummed and nodded as she said "Yeah, I did not expected him to be so straightforward and immediately went to the city where there are most of the high ranking students!" I nodded in agreement at her statement. She then asked as she pointed at Mecha 0.1 "What is that? Did you also made that?" Shaking my head I said "No, it's Min-Jun's idea"

"Wow! I see!" Claire nodded dumbfounded and said "I can't believe you found such a good apprentice already!" Laughing awkwardly I said "You're much more straightforward now than before"

"Well, that's because you called me a friend!" Claire said as she smiled shyly at me. I smiled back and we laughed together. Ethan and Han Min-Jun on the other hand looked at each other and Ethan asked suspiciously "Is she really only his friend?" Han Min-Jun shrugged in reply and Ethan sighed.

[Judge "Iris" asks "How've you been?" shyly]

I hummed and said "I'm alright" Claire giggled and said "Looks like she missed you too!" Hearing this I tilted my head and smiled as I asked "Then, does that mean you missed me as well?"

"Eek!" Claire exclaimed and held her wildly beating heart before turning around to hide her blushing face. I on the other hand was confused.

Ethan and Han Min-Jun: "?!!" Is he dense or something?!

[Judge "Dionysus" laughs and says "Look at their dumbfounded expressions, haha!"]

"Anyway, why are you here at the convention?" I asked and Claire replied "Oh, its my sister, her boyfriend is an inventor and so we came here"

"And, why are you not with her?" I asked and Claire giggled, "I'm not going to be a third wheel you know" My lips twitched at her words and thought 'How does she know such words?'

"Well then, wanna come with us for a while?" Hearing my words Claire's eyes shone and she nodded and hummed in response.

Arriving at the reserved area for the Baron family, we put down the mecha with a loud 'thud' from it's weight. "Phew, now then, shall we test it?"

Everyone nodded and I patted Han Min-Jun's shoulder and said "You should be the one to test it first since you know most of how it is assembled" Han Min-Jun hummed and folded both of his sleeve, taking a deep breath he entered the mecha and closed the entrance of it.

Knocking on it I asked "Can you hear me?" Han Min-Jun spoke and said "Yes" in a muffled voice because he is inside of it. Nodding my head I said "Then, try start moving arm number 1 first" The mecha had a total of 4 arms with clipping hand on it's tip.

Han Min-Jun took a deep breath and started pressing buttons and pulling a certain lever, then, he saw from the rectangular hole that the number 1 arm really did moved! Everyone became excited and happy and I said "Try lifting it up"

Han Min-Jun nodded and pulled the lever again as the arm number 1 was raised and the clipper on it's tip also opened and closed. I hummed and rubbed my chin, thinking of something I said "Try to move each one of them"

Han Min-Jun followed and each of the 4 arms moved. With a grin I added "Try to move all of them simultaneously." Hearing this everyone widened their eyes and Han Min-Jun became hesitant. Of course I knew he would be like this and said "Have you forgotten already?" Han Min-Jun widened his eyes and looked at me, I said with a smile "I thought you said you were gonna prove it to me?"

"Han Min-Jun." Looking straight into his eyes I said "Prove to me, that you are worthy of becoming my disciple" Han Min-Jun's eyes shone and glimmered before he smiled and hummed, "Yes!"

Furrowing his eyebrows he took a deep breath and pressed more buttons before pulling only two levers, then, unexpectedly, all four of the arms moved simultaneously!

"Wow!" Everyone was in awe including the [Judge]s. I on the other hand crossed my arms and thought 'Of course, this is how I set Min-Jun up, because he is unmistakably--'

'--The genius I created'
