I'm back

" Is everything packed yet" said manager Wang to one of the workers that were packing up their produce. These were going to be taken back to the lab for further study before the company released them for sale.

"Not yet but we are almost done came a reply." "Oh then hurry up, and remember to take them all, those are worth a lot of money" manager Wang reminded as he turned to walk back inside only to see Emilia coming back from outside.

You're back ! So soon? You've been gone for only three hours I thought you were going to spend the whole day there?" He asked her surprised when she came closer.

"No I decided to come back earlier manager Wang . There was nothing but trees over there so I got a little bored." Emilia smiled at him as she stopped to reply.

Dazed by her smile manager Wang couldn't help but wonder whether it was imagination or that Emilia had become even more beautiful than when she left.

"Mr Wang..?" She called out when she saw him a little distracted.

"Cough.. ah it's nothing. Since your here then we can leave earlier. You go pack up and we will depart in an hour." Once he was done Mr Wang immediately left.

Ha, Wonder what's wrong with him? Emilia thought to herself as she walked back into the room to pack. Seeing the time on the wall and seeing that it was only three, Emilia was immediately rejuvenated when she thought of the fact that if they leave earlier than she would be able to reach in time to eat dinner with little Qin. I should also buy some takeout on the way back. We should enjoy enough of it before it goes extinct.

Humming to herself Emilia went on with her packing.

"Boss everything is done over at my side. I've already completed all the paperwork and sent it to your email. You can just check and sign it for me do that I can submit it." Hawk reported

"Mhm..'' Ling Xiao hummed in reponse

"I've also booked for you a hotel room for you to stay in. The address has also been sent to you . Is there anything else you need Cap?" Hawk asked.

"Nothing else. What about those supplies I asked you to buy?"Asked Ling Xiao as he manuvared his way out of the airport.

"That's all being handled by so, we have already collected half of what you require and we will probably be done with it in a week or two.came a swift reply from the other end."

"Alright continue then. Remember collect as much as you can for me. I'll call you when I need something." Ling Xiao answered.

"Ok boss"

"Oh right once you guys are done you can have your break but don't get out of shape or that will be your last one for the next five years." Ling Xiao sternly warned the man. He knew that once out of work those guys had a tendency of not keeping fit and he couldn't have that. His team was completely loyal to him and stuck with him even through the apocalypse in his last life so he planned to keep them with him this time as well.

No matter how strong an individual is on his own, it is always better to have more people there to help you out. They were also his childhood friends so they did have a place in his heart as well so he couldn't just let them fend for themselves when he could clearly help them out.

"Really!!! Thanks Cap don't worry we won't!"  Hawks excited words flew from the other end. Ling Xiao could almost imagine his excited face as he uttered those words.

Mhm be hummed as he cut the call.

Looking up at the scene in front of him, he dazedly took it in before a firm light flashed through his eyes.

"A City I'm finally here" he muttered as he looked around.

'Tap tap tap' sounds of fingers hitting the keyboard could be distinctly heard from the study on the first floor. Codes where the only thing that could be seen flying randomly on the laptop screen.

Qin Lu was completely concentrated on the screen in front of him it seemed that nothing else could enter his world except the computer in front of him. Looking down on the computer blurry images of fingers was all that could be seen.

As Qin Lu was concentrated a single sound of the door being opened broke his concentration. Minimizing the window in front of him he immediately pulled up another window which showed what was happening at the front door . The only people that had the keys for this place was himself , aunt Mary and his mom. Aunt Mary had just left and his mom was going to be out of town for the next two days so it couldn't possibly be her. He wanted to see just which idiot was brave enough to break into his house. Once the camera was pulled up what came into view was not the thief he thought it would be but his mom who was supposed to be back in two days time. Still dazed the sound of his mom's voice brought him back

"Little Qin mommy's back!!" His mom called from the front door . Standing up he ran towards the door. "Mommy!" He exclaimed as he threw himself in her embrace

"Whoa there, seems like somebody missed me too. Did you miss me baby.?" Emilia cooed as she hugged her son tightly.

"Mhm"Qin Lu bobbed his head while still in her embrace.

Feeling his mom's warmth Qin Lu was finally able to relax. Honestly this week without her was really hard for him. Though he knew that she was still alive and not just a figment of his imagination it was still very hard for him to adapt. If not for her phone calls regularly he would probably drown himself in thoughts of how she was not going to come back again.

His memory of her leaving him before in the past was still clear and always came to haunt him. The emptyiness of the house always served to remind him of how she died in his previous life and how he was alone for a period of time in an empty house . It was a memory he was not fond of.

But her warmth right then calmed down his frantic heart.her hugs always made him feel safe. The warmth he recieved from them was always so comforting that he had grown addicted to them simce he had been reborn. He probably learned to appreciate them more  than he dud in his first life since he had experienced losing them before.

Shes still there and he was not going to let history repeats itself . 'He still had his mother and it was going to stay that way forever.' he thought to himself.

Emilia had no clue of what was going through her son's mind. She just thought that he was as happy as she was seeing him after not being able to see each other for almost a week. Clearly just talking on the phone could do nothing to curb her worry and loneliness.

'Is this how mom felt every time she called her. It's clearly not a nice feeling, I've made her suffer.' Emilia's mood suddenly dampened thinking of her own parents.

Feeling the clear change in his mother's mood Qin Lu lifted his head to stare at his mom.

"Mom you ok?" He asked.

Looking at her son's Bright eyes staring at her, Emilia could feel her mood rise again.

"Yep I'm ok come on I've brought food, let's eat before it gets cold."she answered him.

"Ok " he replied as he went off to get plates from the kitchen so that they could eat. His mom was probably hungry and he didn't want to starve her.

Looking at Qin Lu's busy back warmth gathered in her eyes.' It's alright, I'll make it up to them tomorrow when I see them . And I won't do anything that could hurt them anymore, they have suffered enough because of her in both lives and she didn't want them suffering any longer.' she thought to herself as she walked towards the kitchen to wash her hands before she went to sit down next to little Qin .

Once they were done eating the mother and son pair sat together to watch TV . While they were watching Emilia's phone buzzed as a message came in. Looking down at her phone Emilia saw a message from her mother telling her that they had just boarded the plane over at the capital and they would be arriving early the next day.

"Ohh I almost forgot about this " she exclaimed as she sat up. Qin Lu looked up at his mom not saying anything waiting for her to continue.

"Baby Qin mommy's going to have some guests staying over here for a while" she said to answer her son's question she could make out in his eyes.

His eyes widened at the statement. Someone staying over?! This never happened before , his mom barely ever had any visitors let alone those staying over

"Who?" He couldn't help but ask

"My family" she declared

Family???? His eyes widened even more, puzzled at the word.
