Destruction and chaos spread on the once-vibrant Green Star, its surroundings plagued by the incessant noise of impending doom. An ominous darkness, akin to locusts, relentlessly devoured the land. "Why is this happening? Why?" A few melting figures glared at the impending doom of darkness above. A colossal shadow cast its veil over the Green Star, declaring an impending cataclysm. Above, a green pillar of light flickered intermittently, each appearance marking the vanishing of another source of life. Silence draped the star as both light and vitality were snuffed out. Everything became devoid of life, light, and silence spreading across the whole star along with darkness. Thousands of light years away, in the vast expanse of deep space, ripples distorted the fabric of the cosmos. A colossal shadow materialized, observing the distant spectacle of a supernova's explosive demise. Amidst cryptic symbols, a message emerged: "~~" "~~~" "~~~~~" Deciphering, "Not Found," "Erasure is Complete," "Proceeding to the next target."
Looking at all advance weapons,
Putting them inside the synthesis boxes, Jack clicked the synthesis option. After merging, a single box appeared, and a cube emerged in front of Jack. This cube was different from before; it was a 6×6 cube with circuit-like lines on each side.
The description appeared:
Name: Hi Tech EWS
Grade: A+
Description: Energy weapon systems with multiple modes and shapes.
Jack smiled excitedly. "Finally, a worthy weapon. Even 6th-level evolvers and nightwalkers, I am not afraid of them now."
"Well, there is a lot of time before the 6th level. After a week, 2nd-level nightwalkers will start to appear in front of the world, two weeks for 3rd level, 1 month for 4th level, 3 months for 5th level, 6 months for 6th level, a year for 7th level, two years for 8th level, and three years for 9th level. The 10th level will appear after 6 years. They reign only for the last year, then the shadow of destruction strikes," Jack muttered,
Jack sighed. "I have to reach the 10th level soon."
The cube turned into a mechanical watch. Wearing it, Jack looked at the energy on the holographic display, weapons shapes, and options. Smiling, he watched Luna busy watering flowers in the garden.
Jack left the ring world, appeared inside the locker he stayed in before, controlled the lock to open the gate, and then walked outside. He opened the locker room and stopped, noticing a few females sleeping outside the shop.
Opening the shop door lock, Jack walked outside. The females stood up, probably the staff of this mall. Politely, one of them said, "Sir, we invite you. There are a lot of survivors in this mall. Please help us."
Jack nodded. "Take me to them. I want to meet the survivors here."
"Please come with us," they walked forward, and Jack followed them, passing through the side supermarket door attached to the mall. This was the only way left open to the supermarket by those survivors, which is why Jack appeared in the mall first.
Looking at one of the largest supermarkets in the world with everything available, Jack was impressed. After a while, looking at 40 to 50 survivors, all with familiar faces, nothing changed.
"Mr. Jack, I didn't expect I would meet you like this," one of the survivors said.
"Yeah, we didn't expect that in the end, this world would make no difference between rich and poor," another commented.
"Probably, Mr. Jack will be very sad about losing his empire," a middle-aged man added, standing with four others of the same age. They sang alongside him, mocking Jack.
Jack glanced at them. These five guys were security guards of this mall and market, the ones who broke his toes to keep him here, unable to run away.
A wicked smile appeared on his face. "How can you all be so brainless? You probably have seen the video footage of how I killed those monsters, yet you started mocking me upon my arrival."
Jack's expression turned cold. "Who do you think you are?"
Silence spread around, and all survivors became solemn. The five security guards' expressions turned solemn as they grabbed their guns and replied, "Well, Mr. Jack, it's not your company. You can't shout here. The rules here belong to us, and no matter how strong a person is, they can't escape from a bullet."
Jack walked toward them slowly, an umbrella appearing in his hand.
"Shoot him!"
Da! Da! Da!
Jack raised the umbrella and opened it. Bullets fell to the ground.
Tchk! Tchk! Tchk!
Looking at the empty magazine and guns in their hands and the intact umbrella, their expressions turned pale. "How is this possible? What kind of umbrella is this?" one of the guards exclaimed. Jack ran at full speed, quickly appeared beside them, and punched and kicked them. After a while, he bound them so they couldn't run away. The survivors shivered, looking at Jack as if watching the devil.
Looking at the five guards, Jack said, "Well, I will give you one month and one day lifespan and break your toes. Don't worry; I will leave you alive."
Jack put his hand on the head guard's shoulder.
Life Take!
Leaving a month lifespan while maintaining his youth, Jack then broke all foot fingers amid his crying and howling.
Jack glanced at the other guards, whose faces turned pale, looking at Jack with begging expressions. Jack felt refreshed looking at their expressions. He knew what these guards would do in the coming month – rape and kill. They wouldn't even leave the wives of other survivors.
But now he had broken their toes, making them basically useless for a month. Just as they saw the hope of survival after seeing rescue security guards, their lifespan would be over.
Jack took their lifespans one by one, leaving one month for them to live, and ordered the other survivors, "Feed them for a month. The security personnel from the east place will reach here, and you can then go to the sanctuary."
"Please help us; you can't leave us. Stay with us for a month," the female staff begged. Jack shook his head and walked outside the staff hall.
Looking at racks filled with every type of material, Jack started storing rack by rack.
"We can't let you take away everything. Stop him at all costs," one of the young men spoke, looking at Jack emptying everything one by one. A few more survivors ran toward him to stop him.
Jack smiled, shook his head, punched, and slapped them away. They flew back and fell far away, groaning painfully and looking at Jack with resentment.
No other survivors attacked. Jack started loading one by one. After an hour, he would synthesize cold weapons like an umbrella. After a few hours, he emptied the whole market along with the warehouse. Looking at the empty building, survivors sat down on the ground in despair.
Jack distributed biscuits and other ready-made items, sufficient for a month. When his foot fingers were broken by those security guards, these survivors labeled him as waste. Ironically, they themselves indulged in fine products throughout the market and offered him cheap and shoddy items.
"These will be enough for all of you for a month. Well, there are other ways to gain extra food; there are no rules now," Jack spoke and walked toward the mall. He appeared on the first floor, glanced at the second floor, and walked toward it. He killed a nightwalker that appeared in his way and devoured it.
