Visiting America!

__________ POV Beru__________

It's been a really long time... Oh boy, the unites states.

Well, there's not much fun to be had here. The place still seems to be filled with trash, both in terms of people, and actually bad recycling methods.

I really want to explore this country a bit, to see just how much it has changed from my original one. I'll do that another time though, now I'm here to hang out with a friend...

I wonder if my usual places are a thing in this world.

__________ POV Narration __________

"Why are we here again?" Asked Yori as he looked around himself.

"Well~ Figured we'd get something to eat~ Food is pretty good around these parts~," Beru said while the two of them walked towards the shadiest neighbourhood possible.

Yori just sighed and continued walking. Wondering if he'd be able to go home anytime soon. Still, he was a bit curious as to where Beru was even taking him.

Beru was just wondering if he'd be able to find the same stores in the same places. The two of them were currently in Florida. A place that Beru found very familiar... It had barely changed... Well, a few differences.

Like the mutant quirks, or the quirks in general. There were also quite a few more futuristic-looking buildings near the centre of the city.

Unfortunately, Beru had no time for fancy things. He was going to be looking for a good restaurant. Why look for it in a shady neighbourhood? Well, let's just say that some habits die hard.

He wanted to see if all of the stores were the same. Merely out of curiosity. Unfortunately for him, that wasn't quite the case. There were some familiar shops, but most of them were just large supermarket chains.

Well, smaller branches of those. It seemed like even the worse neighbourhoods now had some easy access to supermarkets.

Beru eventually stopped when he reached a random burger joint. He proceeded to pull Yori inside and ordered two large ones.

The owner just gave him an odd sideways glance then started making the burgers.

Yori didn't speak much during that time. Only yawning from time to time and responding to Beru's questions.

"How are we going to proceed from here?~" Beru did manage to sneak in a serious question amidst all of the shitty ones he was constantly spouting to keep the conversation going.

"That depends... What direction do we even have left? We need to learn to properly dilute the solution we have... We can think of more after that." Yori responded while tapping his fingers on the counter.

Neither of them was specific in their words, they were in a public setting after all.

"Oi! Look what we have here guys! A fucking nerd and a bug!" Yori and Beru turned their heads to the side when hearing that obnoxious voice.

The owner of the burger joint just sighed in frustration.

Through the front door entered three young men. They were all somewhere around 20, clearly hooligans. All of them seemed to have quirks usable in fighting.

One had Boar horns, and presumably strength. One had shark mouths for hands, and the other seemed to be some type of goat mutant quirk.

Yori didn't even bother reacting to the three stooges that entered the joint. He thought the matter beneath him.

Not Beru though. The insectoid stared at the three and chuckled a bit.

"And what the fuck are you guys supposed to be?~ I don't remember asking for male hookers.~" Beru's voice was somewhat melodic. The owner of the shop almost released a chuckle when he heard that.

"The fuck did you say you little sh-" The louder one, the boar, was about to start spewing more verbal garbage in Beru's direction.

Unfortunately, Beru didn't feel like listening. He created a warp gate and simply sent all three of them on a little trip.

Yori raised an eyebrow after he saw Beru teleport the young men away. The owner of the joint also seemed to be a bit scared. But he still kept doing his job.

"Where did you send them?" Yori asked while rubbing the bridge of his nose.

"Just figured they needed to cool off a bit~ I'm sure they appreciate the surprise field trip to Russia.~" Yori released another sigh at Beru's words.

"I hope you didn't send them in a forest... It would be annoying to hear that they got mauled by a bear or something..." Yori said while he turned back to look at the counter in front of him.

"Meh, I sent them in a city~ But that's even more dangerous. ~ If the Gopniks get their hands on them, then the poor American boys will likely wish they got mauled to death by bears~" Beru spoke without any pause.

The two of them continued sitting like that for a while The food was also prepared soon enough. And Yori got to enjoy the simple delight of eating a large burger.

The two of them ended the outing on a high note. With Beru deciding to go and drink on Yori's private island.

Beru proceeded to not get drunk at all, and Yori just drank a few glasses here and there. He mostly spoke and listened to Beru.

Their party ended when Beru got a call on his watch.

"Sup~" He responded almost instantly. Yori was just looking at the sky and counting stars or something.

"Beru... I think we've got an emergency. You might want to be here for this." Beru raised a metaphorical eyebrow in confusion. He could hear the somewhat unnerved voice of Nezu.

"Nezu~ What happened~?" He just heard a sigh.

"Can you just come here for a second... I really think you need to be informed of this... It's urgent." Nezu seemed a lot more serious than he had ever been.

Beru just sighed. "Fine...~" He then slowly got up from the sand.

"I'll be going~ It's been fun Yori~" Beru's words were spoken out as a black mist swallowed him.

Yori waved at him with a smile on his face. His smile disappeared at the same time as Beru though. A silhouette appeared behind him.

"Are you sure this will work?" Yori asked while he looked at the sea in the distance.

"Of course! Don't worry about a thing! I'll take care of everything..." The figure spoke while looking at Yori's back.

"Well then... I guess I should get changed too." Yori slowly got up from the sand. He shook the sand away before he walked back to his house.
