Akane

Akeno and Rias had finished their fun by this point and were now laying beside the new head of the Phenex with Akeno on her left and Rias on her right. The older woman had a few tries in her eyes, remembering the few good times she had before her world came crashing down all around her. Seeing the way Issei took care of her daughter and how gentle he has been reminded her of her former husband. He was a good man and a wonderful husband until two years after Ravel had come into their life. Before that time, he was a gentleman and was content with the way things were. But it was after their daughter's birth and Riser winning the first rating game that changed him. She still doesn't know what caused him to change but she did know that the once caring man was not there anymore.

He was always pressuring that dam marriage with Rias from the start. While she and Venelana were from the same family and interfamily relations with marriages were common; she did not want that for either Rias or Riser. She knew that her son would have only seen her as a trophy and was proven right. She tried her hardest to understand why her former husband wanted the two to marry and asked municipal times why he was pushing for this, but he never gave her an answer.

It was the reason why she dropped in the ratting game challenge into the marriage contract. It wasn't either lord that wrote it in, it was her giving Rias an out and hopped that Rais would be able to find strong enough members to fight him. Luckily for her, she did, especially Issei. Now she hopes that she and Ravel would be able to rebuild the bond that was stained between the two. Because of her father's actions and pretty much telling Ravel at the age of six that she will have to fight in Ratting games if she doesn't want to be forced into a marriage; Akane's and Ravel's relationship was strained. Between producing the Phoenix tears, training, and all of the things a noble lady like themselves had to do, it made Akane feel like she was not doing enough to help her daughter and it showed. Ravel had been as arrogant as her brother and during the few family dinners they were able to have together as a real family, Akane could feel the tension between her and her daughter.

It was only now that Akane knew about her daughter's feelings and during the night after the failed wedding and going through the locked documents in her former husband's study that she found the truth. In that man's dirty, he detailed his actions and said that it was a brilliant way of sending their only daughter away by telling her that she was unwanted by both himself and Akane and that if she did not want to be married off and have her own choice she would have to train and fight in rating games. When Akane read that, she shocks in anger and so desperately wanted to kill the man herself that she almost did. She could claim self-defends or call him a traitor, which she almost did if it weren't for the other documents she had found. These documents detailed everything that he along with their third son was planning on doing she called Venelana over to discuss these things. Ravel had joined them by them and with all of this information out in front of them, it made all of them a target for the unknown third party to attack or silence them.

Akane shed a few tears, remembering what has caused her and Venelana to join Issei. Sure they have a genuine feeling for the young man, but there is the fact that they now have a target on their backs. While both are powerful, they have not been in active combat since the end of the great war and did not participate in the Devil Civil War in active combat, only helping in a support role. They knew they would need a strong man to keep them from harm until the enemies in the underworld were defeated. It is why they decided to go with Issei. He already has both daughters, so why not have both mothers as well?

Issei could feel the small amount of guilt leave Akane. He also knew that this was their plan when he saw the documents. He would have taken them anyway, but he would have liked to get to know them first. However, all of this information that they were not supposed to know would have killed them in the end and that would greatly affect Rias and Ravel. That is something Issei wanted to avoid.

Capping her face and gently wiping away the few tears on her cheek, Issei tells her, "You have nothing to worry about, Mother. I will be there for you no matter what and if anyone wants to get to you." Issei wrapped his wings around the three "They would have to go through my dead body. Even then, I will still drag their souls to hell. No one will hurt you again and you will get to rebuild your relationship with your daughter." Akane did not answer, but she did bury her head into Issei's neck as more tears welled in her eyes. Issei just held her, gently rubbing her as the once proud woman cried like a teen girl. The emotions of the past few hours had finally caught up to her and she could not hold it in anymore.

During this time as the three rugged, Issei used his hands and gently sent his energy into her through her breast. He did not need to shape her body and with her emotional state, it was far easy to give her the energy to make her his. Soon the transfer was complete and just like with Ravel; Issei gently bit down on her collarbone. Marking her as his as Akane did the same. Once the marking was complete, Issei and Akane shared a passionate, but gentle kiss before she to left back to the real world.
