Finally, Tatsuya put his most radical proposal yet: relocating the clan to the Land of Snow.
"The Land of Snow is where we belong," Tatsuya began. "Its cold and harsh environment gives us an advantage that no other clan can match. Our Ice Release will be much stronger there, and our enemies will suffer from the cold."
The council members murmured their agreement. The Yuki clan had always thrived in cold environments, and the Land of Snow offered natural defenses: its steep mountains and icy landscapes would make it nearly impossible for enemies to launch successful attacks.
Tatsuya continued, emphasizing the long-term benefits of the move:
- Natural Resources: The Land of Snow was rich in unique minerals and herbs that could be used to develop new weapons, armor, and medicines.
- Strategic Positioning: Its isolation would protect the clan from constant attacks, while its climate would strengthen their jutsu and weaken any invaders. The landscape is easier to defend and harder for enemies to traverse.
- Self-Sufficiency: They will need to develop and research a method of farming in this cold environment, as with the ability to grow their own food in the cold climate and access to abundant water sources from the snow and ice, the clan could become completely self-sufficient. Foods that can grow in a cold environment such as: "Apples, grapefruit, grapes, winter squash, papayas, honeycrisp apples, persimmons, and beechnuts" will be a plus.
Kaito nodded in agreement. "The Land of Snow will be our sanctuary," he said. "We will prepare for the move."
The elders and clan leaders were initially surprised by the audacity of Tatsuya's ideas. However, as they reflected on his reasoning and the current dangers of the Warring States period, they realized that these changes would secure the clan's future.
Some members suggested adding their own ideas:
-Fortified Defenses: One elder proposed building a series of fortresses along the border of the Land of Snow to act as a buffer against enemy invasions.
-Trade Routes: Another suggested establishing trade routes with neighboring lands to secure supplies they could not produce themselves.
Despite some initial resistance, the Yuki clan eventually agreed to implement Tatsuya's proposals. The clan was on the verge of becoming a stronger, more self-sufficient force, ready to take on the challenges of the Warring States period.
