Chapter 3: The investigation

"Wait a minute that's easy their a tall male with some voice modular that can change the way they sound. All we need to do is look at the past killings and find a pattern." Rebecca says

"The problem is this the killer was at the party and if they were it was only for a few seconds," Erika says

"What tells you that?" Alison asks

"Well for some reason I have a feeling that the killer was not at the party and if they were then it was only for a few seconds," Erika says

"Who was the last person at the party?" Zoë asked

"Well, it was me I was on the same floor it happened," Rebecca says still nervous

"Let's hear it," Zoë suggests In a demanding voice

"Okay so hears what happened," Rebecca says a little nervous

Back at the party

"Okay I'm gonna confess to her I'm gonna confess to her. What's the worst thing that's gonna happen?" Rebecca says to herself inside her room

See I lived on the same floor as Catalina so I could pretty much see and hear everything. Especially when it went quiet all of a sudden

"Where the hell did they all go?" Catalina asks

Rebecca looks out through a small hole in her door and sees Catalina running to the door

"HELP SOMEONE HELP ME!!!" Catalina screamed

Catalina banged her hand against a door that leads to the stairs

I heard someone talking to Catalina on the other side of the door but then suddenly she screamed

I peaked my head through my door and saw a literal portal open up and took Catalina

Catalina yeeted her phone back like she was playing baseball- anyways yes Catalina was dragged into the portal and left her phone

I closed the door a little bit and saw Jake walk into the middle of the hallway across from my dorm

"Hey, Catalina where are you?" Jake asked looking around

I heard some kind of bing sound and Jake picked up a phone that was on the floor

Surprisingly Catalina's phone wasn't broken even though it went meters away

Jake picked up her phone and was confused by whatever text message was on there

Jake was shot in the back collapsing onto the floor and leaving a pool of blood

I was terrified and jumped back luckily the killer didn't hear anything because Catalina just falls from a closet I think and crawls to Jake

Catalina called somebody on her phone must've been 911 since I heard them on the other side of the phone

The killer shot Catalina in the head and talked to 911

"Hello, my name is Charles Banquet I'm also known as the Slaughterer you can call me either one. I've just killed two college students come now or else more people will be next."

I got scared and bumped into my expensive lamp, he shot through my dorm door, I teleported, and the end

"Please tell me your shitting with me right now cause that sounds like the beginning of every single Scary Movie 1 through 20 or however many there are," Erika says

"She saying what you said sounds fake." Zachary translated

"It's literally what happened nothing about it is fake," Rebecca asked

"EVERYTHING!!" They all shouted

"I don't care if we live in a world full of quirks but somebody could have a quirk to conjure portals like….come on," Erika says so disappointedly

"It's making you look goofy," Zoë says

"It's not my fault if their deaths sound goofy it's the truth," Rebecca says

"Any way you said their name was Charles Banquet….I know him!! He was the original slaughterer but then was arrested-" Alison says

"Case closed he's in jail," Erika says

"Wait a minute I heard he escaped like a few months ago and wasn't found," Alison continues making Erika groan

"So either it's Charles or someone who's a big fan of him," Zachary says

"Perfect but now let's research more about him if it is Charles we would need to have info to figure out his intentions," Rebecca says

"And how do you expect us to do that?" Erika asks

"I'll split y'all into groups Smith twins you will both be on research, Zachary and Zoë will be at the crime scene and try to get more info about the deaths, finally Alison and I will try our best to rally up everything together and make a good educated guess." Rebecca orders

"Now luckily I looked through each of y'all schedules and for now I know that a few of have classes in a few so you can pretty much start whenever you're free." Rebecca continues looking through Zachary's schedule

"Yeah, I kinda have classes in a few minutes gotta go," Alison says

"No, you don't," Zoë says

"Yes, I do," Alison says

"Remember we had that study session," Zoë says

Alison looked at her so confused but then got the memo

"Oh yeah, that study session for math gotta go," Alison says holding Zoë hands

"Oh, can I be included I like totally suck in ELA but amazing in math so I could also like teach you anytime," Erika says and Erick slapped his forehead

"You know for a sex addict your really innocent," Zoë says and Alison covers her mouth

"I am not like I haven't slept with anyone in two years," Erika says

"Why is Zach a virgin?" Alison asks

"Yeah I am and there's no reason to lie about that," Zachary says

"How ironic," Zoë says to herself

"What's ironic about that?" Erika asks

"Nothing just feel like your boyfriend is keeping secrets from you," Zoë says then walks out

"What does she mean by that?" Erika asks and looks up at Zachary

Erika was mixed between scared and confused

"Nothing maybe she confused me for another Zach or someone else." Zachary lies

"Now I know you're lying what are you hiding from me?" Erika asks

"I'M NOT HIDING ANYTHING, GOD!!!" Zachary yells and that makes her jump

"Hey bro chill out Erika everyone keeps secrets you should know," Erick says and leaves

Zachary just leaves a little annoyed and mad

"Hey you know I didn't mean to make you mad I was just curious," Erika says

"Hey, Mr. Martin we need to talk do you mind Erika." Professor Caleb says

"No not at all we will talk later Zachary," Erika says

Rebecca was the only one in the teacher's lounge

"Hey Ms. Ring May you please leave need to talk to Mr.Martin here," Professor Caleb says and Rebecca leaves immediately

Rebecca closed the door but not all the way

"What do you want?" Zachary says mad

"Zachary boy your something if you think your lie about cheating on your girlfriend guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." Professor Caleb says

"Why does it matter to you she's not into 30-year-olds," Zachary says

"But she also won't be into you once she finds out you slept with another girl lying about your virginity," Caleb says

"Stay away from her she's my girlfriend what happened between me and Catalina was nothing I just wanted to know what it was like to sleep with someone and I was scared to ask Erika cause I thought she would become addicted but now I want to…"Zachary says putting his head in his hands

"Son your always so tough on yourself can down. Now I want you to keep on fighting with her so I could be with her." Caleb says excitedly

"What the- That my girlfriend and you should stay the hell away from her," Zachary says

"You know my type young guys or girls but she's different and has a great how do I say this… personality," Caleb says

"You're a creep I'm not breaking up with her for shit," Zachary says pissed off with Caleb

"Fine since you won't act like a decent son I will do things myself," Caleb says and walks to the door

Rebecca teleported right away

"Damn it damn it damn it." Zachary curses to himself while lying on the couch

"Just know Erika I'm doing this for you… for us." Zachary says

Rebecca teleported to another location where Erika just happens to be there

Erika, we need to talk about Zachary

"Why don't you just leave me alone you always make my life a living hell anyway," Erika says walking away from her

"But it's about Zach," Rebecca says

"Stop mentioning his name. For all, I know what Zoë said could mean he's cheating on me…gosh, I just hate secrets." Erika says walking faster and farther away

Rebecca groans

"I hate life," Rebecca says
