The door swung quietly shut behind Shelby, and she clutched the robe, very self-conscious. She stood on the same spot as if she had been plunged back into the past. The drapes in the room had been drawn so that the place seemed very dark, just like when she had first stepped into this room. It seemed like a long time had passed since then, but it wasn't that long.
Without looking around, she knew that Ian was not in there. She could not explain it, but she just knew. She took slow steps into the room and then approached the bed. Suddenly, her phone buzzed, and then she was plunged back to earlier that day, on that same bed but in another mood.
