The Need for Slaves

As the door slid shut, Adam was left with his own thoughts. Recalling the excitement he had, buying a slave made his heart seize up in anxiety. He had seen what the Vanid would do with their extreme power and he was planning on carving a niche out for himself by having morals, but now...

"I easily took advantage of my position of power." he stated in anger. Sitting down on his bed to go through his thought process, to find what was changing so he could be more vigilant about it. He was jolted out of his morose thoughts when his tablet lit up with an incoming call. Adam couldn't even gratefully take the reprieve as his mind almost completely forgot about his previous thoughts when the caller appeared on the tablet.
