-third person pov-

The dust cloud slowly fell and we could see two shadows. One was elevated from the ground while the other fell to the ground. Once the cloud of dust is fully gone, we can see the flying demon looking at a human.

-Alex pov-

From this clash, I was pushed until my body hit the ground. 'Is it over?' I thought. After the clash, I looked at the demon. The reason why I was unable to move even with my willpower was because the veins in my legs and arms exploded and I could feel the internal bleeding. As my arms were slowly turning blue, I lifted my arm and pointed my finger at the demon and said,

"You i like you but..."

The flying demon was confused as to how I was still conscious.

"...It's sad that I have to kill you."

I said as I got up without using my arms. Which I almost regretted after feeling the pain in my legs, but it was too late to give up now.

The flying demon who returned to his senses used his blood demon art and attacked me with blood feathers. Which I responded to by slapping them with the back of my hands as I was walking to him. The flying demon flinched as he looked at my hands, which were pierced by his blood feathers.

Alex's grin, which was gone now, was back as he thought. 'Accept all rewards.' Instantly after having accepted the reward, his body was completely healed from his veins to his chest, which expulsed the claw in it, revealing a scar. This shocked the demon, who was confused as his own instincts told him to run as fast and far as he could.

Alex looked at his status panel.

With his new strength and speed, he ran at the demon.

-Flying demon pov-

The human ran at me. His speed disappointed my instinct; it was as if he was holding back. So I decided to just clash with him as there was no point in stopping now. (1)

He punched first, which I blocked by crossing my arms. His strength was probably the most astounding part of his attack, because the force behind the attack nearly broke my bones. Determined to beat my opponent, I grabbed his fist and swung him over my head and into the ground, creating a small crater.

-Alex pov-

He swung me over his head and into the ground, to which I responded by kicking his legs. Which he didn't react to in time, making him fall. My next attack was probably my most lucky. When he was close to the ground, I used my arms to flip around so that I could see my opponent falling, but I also used the momentum I gained from my spin to punch the falling demon. (Alex was face first to the ground with his arms on the ground.)

With the force of the demon falling, my spinning momentum, and my own force, the flying demon's skull cracked and his head separated from his body because of the force being way too strong for the demon's neck.

After the demon's body fell to my right, I got up and looked around to find the last of the eight demons, but he was gone. 'Coward.' I looked around only to see the demon's corpse and heads everywhere.

(a few hours later)

Nothing really happened for a few hours, and I picked up the head of the flying demon and the seven others I killed earlier to place them under the sun and kill them. The sun was finally up and the demons' heads were turned to dust. I also saw the flying demon cry, which is exactly why I did the same thing I did to the first demon I killed here, which was to shut them up. Why? Because I know I would be remorseful if he hit me with his backstory no jutsu.

I knew he was going to have some backstory, no jutsu, because literally every powerful character in Demon Slayer has one, even the demon king, and it seems like Demon Slayer is fused with this world. As I was thinking about the backstory of No Jutsu, a red window appeared in front of my eyes, to which I gave attention for about a minute.

Alex's eyes quickly stopped shining and looked a bit more sad as he needed to break his limits in order to augment his stats ranks, but he was confused on how to do it with his agility stat. After looking at the sky and then at the head of a demon that he left under the shadow of trees.

He grabbed the head of the first demon he encountered and ran toward where the entrance to the forest was. He arrived in less than a minute and stopped in front of the exit of the forest where he was supposed to wait for Kodama. He sat on the ground near a tree and slept.
