Mine

As soon as the plane landed, I sent Brent a text. He didn't reply, and I wasn't surprised. So, we got in the car my dad had left at the airport for us and went straight home.

My dad had to go out of town before we arrived so I wasn't going to see him for a couple of days. I was used to it already, so it didn't bother me. I was getting used to a lot of things these days.

I hadn't told Vikki anything yet. I didn't want to worry her. I would go visit her tomorrow. I would try to see her grandmother again too. I needed to know more about everything. With all the new developments lately, I am sure the conversation will be very interesting.

"Mom, did you tell dad what happened?"

"No honey, you can tell him when you are ready. I know it isn't easy for you. If you need me to tell him with you, I will be there."

"Thanks mom. Do you mind if I go straight upstairs and go to sleep? I didn't sleep much on the plane and I am exhausted."
