I tried for days to get into Pietro's mind to wipe all of his memories of Wanda and the Avengers, but he could never have enough time to be both asleep and not dreaming. His brain worked so fast that he would start dreaming almost immediately after falling asleep.

So, I decided something different.

One day, I watched Pietro walk around aimlessly throughout the house. I knew this was the time to enact my plan, even if it was a little inhumane.

I grabbed his shoulders, pushed him against the wall, and kissed him. While his attention was focused on me, I let my psychic energy flow throughout his mind. In a matter of only a few seconds, the memories of his life were no more. He slumped to the ground, completely unconscious.

I took him to bed and started fabricating his new life.

My mind was exhausted from creating a new life for Pietro that the moment I finished, I fell asleep. Not even bothering to change or get under the covers. I didn't know how long I was sleeping, but it couldn't have been long because I was still exhausted when I woke up. Though I didn't want to wake up, Pietro did it instead.

He was extremely close to my face, and I nearly screamed at his closeness. Thankfully, I managed to keep myself composed.

"What is it, Pietro?"

He grabbed my arm and sped me to the kitchen. It was on fire. I didn't necessarily feel surprised but was quite annoyed. I put my hand towards the fire, and it quickly died down. Once it was gone entirely, I questioned Pietro on why he set the kitchen on fire.

"What did you do? Why were you using fire?"

I could tell he was thinking about how to say to me without making me any more annoyed. He opened his mouth to talk, but I beat him to it.

"Were you trying to cook?"

He nodded and brought me over to the charred stove, where I could see the burnt remains of eggs and toast. I didn't know how to feel about this. Pietro wasn't someone who should even be near anything hot or sharp. A kitchen has both. However, he was adorable by trying to cook something for us.

"Pietro, it was nice of you to try to cook something, but I am never letting you go into the kitchen without me watching. You are a safety hazard."

I brought him in for a kiss, and he greatly accepted. Maybe things won't be too bad. We'll be fine just the way we are. Who needs the Avengers?

We certainly don't.
